I went into a Ten Ren shop looking for a black rose tea, and ended up with this one instead =) I’m not usually a fan of grapefruit (the actual fruit, never mind as a flavour in tea) but it goes really well with the blueberry – adds a bit of a tangy flavour. I haven’t had it clear yet, but with milk it’s really nice. A touch of sugar might bring the fruit flavour out more, I might try it that way next time.
With a name like “Cute” I couldn’t resist this tea, but I was … Kind of disappointed. I really love lavender, but this, to me, smells a lot like cloves, despite the fact that there are none. From the name (and because the tin was sealed in the shop and we had nothing but the tin to go on) I expected a light, floral, perhaps sweet tea – yet it’s a strong, spicy tea, instead. Perhaps not bad – but it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting, and not my preference.
