I’ve had this a couple times now and finished off the last of it today. On the one hand it’s a nice vanilla, creamy tea. As far as pear goes, i want more than this provides. It’s smooth and subtle but there’s a tang of artificialness to the pear that i don’t love.
getting much more pear and vanilla this time around, but i’m also getting a taste that reminds me of the memory of black licorice? sadly the ingredients just say natural flavours so no idea what they put in here. It’s a suble pear..not a sweet juicy one, and the vanilla is nice…but the taste is distracting.
Going to have to try this one again in future. It smelled lovely but i was distracted drinking it because we were trying to get out for a ride before the sun went down. We haven’t had a moment to ride together in AGES so we really wanted to get out. More to come when i have this one again :)
Not much to say except it tastes what it announces: chamomile and lavender. Of course, it makes me sleepy so that’s great because I need it so much sometimes. The tea bags are full enough for 2 cups so it’s great to steep in a teapot to share with someone :)
Edit
I always have to buy it, now. It DOES make me sleepy. A lot. Try it if you’re walking around the house all night.
This is a satisfying black tea, but not a satisfying Earl Grey. It lacks the necessary bergamot kick. In fact, I can’t taste it at all…and I am a bergamot addict. I would suck bergamot oil from a dirty sock.
However! This tea wins back my heart just for being such a smooth tasty black tea. I recommend it highly as a breakfast/daily/morning/basic black because it’s incredibly easy to drink.
So, though I normally rank disappointing Earl Greys quite low, I find this one has a charm to it on its own merits.
