Adagio Teas

Good nighttime tea.

Confession: after I’ve had my several steeps of these exquisite leaves, I will pick out and eat the buds and smaller leaves. Yes, it’s that good and tender, like the best buttered asparagus or artichoke with a vase of sweet flowers on the table. Enjoying Tea has a good price for Ali Shan, and it seems to me to be the same batch as Adagio has right now. Enjoy!

2 min in the ingenuiTea device, boiling water. First pass on this 3 gm of leaves. I weighed them because i love this tea and it’s pricey for my budget. But worth every cent! Ahhhhh! Honeysuckle flowers and buttered spinach. Each further steep of these leaves will reveal new scents and flavors. Smiling!

Good with a bit of honey and lemon juice.

Finished off my sample tin, will probably make it into the cart next time I make an order. I still have ~60 sample tins left though.

One of my favorite teas ever, almost out though.

This turns into a chalky, acidic mess when iced. Ick.

This is the first of Adagio’s flavored teas that hasn’t bowled me over. While it is as fragrant as any of the others (seriously, my kitchen smells faintly of oranges a few hours later, even though I only brewed a cup), the actual taste is of mediocre black tea with a faint touch of citrus in the background.

Very delicate and slightly sweet. Next time I’ll use more leaves, but it was good.

This tea is great on its own, but I usually mix it with Adagio’s black coconut. I did that today and it is gooo-ooo-ooood!

This was the end of sample tin – I think that’s the second or third sample tin of this that I’ve gone through, so I probably need to suck it up and buy the 4oz.

In a rush this morning (though I highly advocate sleeping in every so often), so I went with Yunnan Noir to start my morning once more. Sample’s almost gone.

Another disugstingly cold day in Chicago means another day of Yunnan Noir, an old favorite.

Was a long night last night, so I’m feeling kind of zombiefied this morning, and I have to go out in the -15 wind chill to run a bunch of errands. So yeah, I needed this.

Going to pick up my sister from the airport. Yay! And yum.

This one couldn’t brew fast enough. It is 2 degrees here in Chicago with -15 degree wind chills, so as soon as I got to work I pretty much ran to the water dispenser. This is definitely one of my all-time favorite teas. I love all Yunnan blacks for their peppery taste, but I love the red wine and sweet cocoa qualities in this one. I could drink it everyday.
