467 Tasting Notes
I really need to go online and check ingredients before I brew. I had just sorted through several samples, passing up all the yummy chocolate teas, I chose this because it smelled like spice cake. Surprise… chocolate! But…. I really, really like it! The chocolate and the spices and the pastry-like flavors are wonderful. I love the dessert-y teas that are pastry like and this sure fits the bill.
I did add a little stevia and was very pleased with the results. I don’t know who I got this from but ‘Thank-you’ for sharing this with me. I hope to add this to my cupboard someday!

I received this lovely sample from Good Life Tea. Thanks! I really don’t like hibiscus or rose hips even though they are a good source of vitamin C. They are just too tart for me. I like the other fruit-y flavors in this tisane but… well, you know … the whole hibiscus thing. With some sweetener, it improves. I enjoyed the description of the tisane more than the tea. I agree with someone else who said they were wondering if the way the samples were packed messed up the flavors. The envelope had a lot of scents before I ever opened it. Maybe thicker bags would improve that. I would also like to see the ingredients listed on the package.

My daughter was over for a while this afternoon and we had a nice cup of tea. I gave her several options based on her previous favorites. We shared a nice pot of Chocolate Rocket She seemed more effected by the caffeine than I usually am. But she still enjoyed it. She drinks quite a bit of tea but nothing like the amount that I guzzle down ;p This is one of my favorites so I’m glad that she liked it. :)
Thanks to Good Life Tea, I have a very nice EG to try out. I smell the bergamot but it doesn’t overwhelm the tea. The base is a good black tea. There was enough in my sample to make it in my Breville which required a 2 tsp minimum in 500 mil of water. The directions said to steep for 3-7 min. I have found I don’t like black teas that are steeped that long and only steeped for 3 minutes. I don’t taste the bitterness that people described but there is a bit of astringency. I don’t mind the astringency because it seems to just add a crispness to the tea, not overwhelming the tea.On the second cup, I added French Vanilla stevia drops which really brought up the flavors. I use the flavored stevia drops since I am trying hard to lose weight (31 lbs in the last year). I don’t use cream but the French Vanilla is superb.
I am a huge bergamot fan and even though the bergamot isn’t heavy I really enjoyed this tea! I won’t mind adding this to my collection of EG ( 8 EGs at the moment) when I have enough money together to buy some more. I have too many teas (82 1 oz or more) and samples( 120 1-4 tsp) right now to buy any more for a long time.
I certainly wouldn’t pass up a cup of offered.

I don’t drink a lot of oolongs so I can’t say much about the oolong part of this tea. It was a pleasant orange and almond flavor with a nice aftertaste. But it was a bit weak in the flavor department. They said 1+ tsp per 8 oz. but maybe it needed more. I have more so I’ll try it again in a couple days.
Flavors: Almond, Orange
I received this tea in a swap from the lovely Rebekah. This tea has a strong caramel corn taste and aroma. It certainly brings back memories of state fairs and amusement parks. The taste isn’t particularly one that I want in a tea but it isn’t bad. I almost seems to have a too rich and cloying flavor. It’s okay for one cup at a time but I would have to pick that time carefully.
Flavors: Brown Sugar, Butter, Caramel
I have always loved the scent of jasmine. This smelled sooooo good. There were no steeping parameters provided. I used 212 degrees, 2 minutes. It smelled really good but was too astringent for me. It needed a little sweetener. It had a great aroma but it wasn’t really that good tasting. I guess I could try again. Maybe only 1.5 minutes? A little less leaf? I guess I’ll have to experiment a bit.
I can’t find any info on the company on line because they are redoing their site. I’ll look for it again later/

Disappointing. This is a black tea? Try slightly cooler (205°) with a shorter infusion time would be my recommendation.
Well… another stupid Carol thing:( I trusted the salesperson to right the correct type of tea on the package. Dumb! It is a green tea. My next cup was much better! :D
Getting reading to leave town so I had to finish up my vanilla almond milk. I had about 16 oz. of almond milk. Gosh, I’ve got a great idea! Mix in some French Vanilla matcha and pour over ice. Yum, yum, yum!

The dry leaves are an interesting blend of teas and fruits. The scent was good: nice raspberry and chocolate. The taste did not completely follow through. Would have loved a bit more chocolate flavor. The raspberry was good but missing the chocolate made it more of a white/green raspberry tea. Still not bad. I have more to drink so many I’ll pick up more flavors on re-tries.

Okay first thing…This is the FIFTH TTBs for the month of August. !! Are all the planets in the solar system aligning to bring together. All the TTBs started with different people, different order and different times.
I made this with vanilla almond milk and it was delicious. Not really orange, more just a fruity flavor but still really tasty. I can taste the matcha and it is definitely the distinctive matcha.
Flavors: Fruity
I love that tea!
