467 Tasting Notes
I’ve had this tea in the cupboard for awhile only because I’ve gotten so many new teas that this was sort of pushed to the back.I enjoy this tea but as other say it’s not particularly memorable. I will drink what I have of it but won’t miss it when it’s gone because there are lots of similar teas out there. This is a good cuppa but I can see why it got pushed to the back of the cupboard. Nothing new or special.
Another tea from a vacation. They only had 12 oz. packages or tea bags. I choose the 12 oz. package. YIKES! That’s a lot of tea! Luckily, I like the tea! It’s very green and fresh! There’s no overly vegetal smell or taste. I’ve tried it with several different flavorings and sweeteners and have enjoyed them all. (Vanilla cream Stevia, Chocolate Stevia, Maple syrup, Strawberry Chocolate Stevia) I really enjoy mates and their caffeine which makes this a tea I’ll keep in my cupboard for a long time. Re-steeps well.

LOL! No kidding! I will be using it for a lot of swaps as well as having plenty for the next year or so… Did you want any? I think I owe you some from your last very generous swap. I don’t need anything in return. :)
It’s an unseasonably cold day in mid September, the football game is on, the husband is watching and I’m reading a good book.
The tea is such a lovely smoky and bacon scent dry. The flavor and aroma follow through with their promise of something special. I am new to Lapsang Souchong so I can’t compare this to others of the same name. I can just tell you that this is so delightful and relaxing. Very evocative of campfires, fall leaves and bacon ( Bacon?). I have the feeling that this wouldn’t be nearly as good at some other times of the year but for the here and now, it’s perfect. It says it can be resteeped 2-3 times. Oh, what a nice thing to keep drinking all afternoon!
Adding more to my note about 4 hours later:
After drinking several cups of this tea I swear I could still taste and smell this tea even when I was out walking. It is so relaxing!
Flavors: Smoke
I was a bit put off by the name… I mean, really , would I really want a fruity cereal flavored tea? As i found I … I like it quite a bit. The fruit isn’t as crazy as it sounds and the black tea wasn’t bad. No bitterness. I like fruity teas and the sweetness that implies so this tea works. Not every day, but one I could keep in stock. (If I had more this this sample) Not bad :)
I’m giving it another try. I leafed it a bit more than last time ( I actually remembered to read the note I wrote on the bag that said I should leaf more) and felt there was more flavor than last time. I am upping my rating somewhat.
Flavors: Chocolate, Raspberry
This may have been sitting around for awhile. I’m not getting enough coffee to be excited about. I mean COFFEE Chai should have a good bump of coffee in it. I enjoy cardamom but it seems like there is an awful lot of cardamom pods in it.
Flavors: Cardamom, Spices
My second try on this tea. (Previous attempt, they said 1 tbs instead of the usual 1 tsp and I tried it their way…WRONG) This cup is perfect for me. It is a cold blustery day (50 degrees when it is still technically summer for another week or so!!!) I really needed something warming and cozy. This really hit the spot. Needed a little sweetener but otherwise very good. I taste the hazelnut and that pastry/cookie taste that makes this a perfect dessert tea.
Flavors: Cookie, Hazelnut
Preparation
I love, love, love this tea. It has a wonderful nuttiness that is missing in some of the other nut teas I’ve had lately (Teavana, Teavana,Teavana). Although it has cinnamon, it doesn’t overwhelm the nut flavor. There is a creaminess that mellows out the cinnamon. This a great cuppa and is giving me a nice contented, relaxing evening :)
Flavors: Cinnamon, Creamy, Nutty
Preparation
The nuts and other flavors are sort overwhelmed by the cinnamon. I don’t know if this is one of the newer batches of Toasted Nut Brûlée Oolong from since Teavana took the nuts out of all their teas. Really, how can they have teas that have ‘nut’ in the title that don’t have nuts? But… well I am not tasting those nuts, just cinnamon. Still enjoyable but not what I would expect from a nutty tea.
