467 Tasting Notes
I have some of this tea to put in my Santea Claus TTB. But of course I HAVE to try each of the teas before I send this out.
I’m loving it! perhaps it’s the vanilla stevia I added but this is terrific to me. I don’t know if it is totally “gingerbread” but it is tasty. It doesn’t have the overly sharp ginger flavor that I find in some ginger teas.
Flavors: Cake, Ginger, Spices
Preparation
I went out to get a few more teas to add to the Santea Claus TTB. Now, of course, I have to try them. Darn… what a terrible thing to have to do:D
While I taste the pecans and almonds, I’m not really tasting the pie part of it. It is still very enjoyable. I taste a bit of caramel which brings the pecan pie together. The rooibos doesn’t bother me like it bothers some others and I don’t think it is overwhelming. Since it’s a nice summer-y day it’s hard to picture but I think this will be really be good as the fall and holiday season approaches!
Flavors: Almond, Apple, Caramel, Pecan
Preparation
I can smell the orange and pineapple. Quite nice but there is a medicinal smell. I only smell a little of the woodsy smell in the honey bush.
I feel that my taste buds must be going wonky. I can smell the tea but I can’t seem to taste the flavors. I think it’s me. The others who have reviewed this tea have had good things to say about it… I think it’s just me.
Thank you Hapatite for the kind swap :D
Thanks Hapatite for this lovely Mate. I have really begun to love Mates. This has all (or least many) of my favorites: chocolate, almonds and Mate! Yeah! This is a nice flavorful tea which is hitting all my senses just perfectly.
Flavors: Almond, Cocoa
Preparation
Lately I’ve been drinking chocolate mates but i decided to branch out a little this morning. This is a nice refreshing sweet orange, almost more like a blood orange. There is a bit of a licorice flavor in there but sort of way in the back. It has that bit of woodsy flavor often found in the mates. I’m enjoying it and will have to see if it turns into one of my staples to keep on hand.
It does have a nice crispy after-taste or orange and a bit of licorice lingers on. :)
Flavors: Licorice, Orange, Wood
Preparation
Thank you RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas for including this tea in the mystery box I received from you. The scent of the dry leaves is minty with a bit of chocolate. The taste is balanced and not overwhelmed by the rooibos.
I like my chocolate teas to be a bit more chocolate than this so I added some chocolate stevia. The flavor really blossomed. There are other ingredients mentioned but I’m not sure I taste them.
My tummy was feeling a little wonky so I thought a bit of mint was in order. It worked. I’ll be able to drink it all evening since its a rooibos.
Flavors: Chocolate, Peppermint
I’m always a bit concerned when a tea says one tablespoon per 8 0z since that rarely seems to be the case,. In a compromise I put in 1.5 tsp for 8 oz.
The dry leaf has an almost orange scent but I don’t really taste it when brewed.
The chai element is a bit weak so maybe it should have been a whole tablespoon. It is good and I will gladly drink it. It makes a nice evening drink with it being a rooibos. The spices make it an interesting drink.
Flavors: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Ginger
