My leaf may have been old because it didn’t get much from it. I bought it in a mystery box and the seller said some of the teas may be old. The dry leaf is pretty with some coconut slivers, white tea, cornflower and safflower petals. Taste is weak but I am sensing some coconut. I have about 1 ounce so I’ll have to see if I can find something to bring out the flavor a bit more.
As I’ve said before and I’ll say it again… I love this tea and the energy it gives me. I drink quite a few other mates but this one …. well, what can I say… CHOCOLATE ROCKET…ZOOM!
I’m sure I’m not alone in putting off house work but today I’ve vacuumed, dusted, cleaned the stove, cleaned out the linen closet and changed the clothes in the closet for the fall season and… it’s just 10 am.
I’m upping my rating but that’s probably just the caffeine talking!
Flavors: Almond, Cocoa, Dark Chocolate
Caramel apples are in the stores right now, tempting me with their goodness. I have resisted so far, but it’s hard. This tea helps. I mean, it’s not going to take the place of a caramel apple :( but it’s a good attempt. It may even help me avoid the evil caramel apple calling me from the store!
Nice apple flavor, caramel, a bit of buttery flavor. Altogether a nice tea.
Flavors: Apple, Butter, Caramel
Preparation
What a fun tea. I always enjoy teas that are visually interesting, as well , as interesting tasting. Cute little snowflakes, pieces of fruit and a rooibos base. Very tasty brew. Not as much as a nut flavor as I thought there would be from the name, Nutcracker. But I really enjoyed it and it is beginning to make me feel like fall/winter is coming even though it’s not apparent yet. It’s just the beginning of October but I enjoy fall so I’m happy.
Preparation
Thank you Albertocanfly! This is one of the yummiest cookie blends! I love the almond and vanilla aroma. It is just soooo relaxing. This is one I really wish I had in my cupboard rather than just a sample. The green tea is mild so it tastes almost like a herbal, to me. But that is not a bad thing.
Flavors: Almond, Vanilla
Preparation
Another tea going into the Santea Claus TTB. I just have to try them before they go on their way. Mild pumpkin flavor. I was a little afraid it would be very chai like with the spices listed but luckily it isn’t it. It’s a very pleasant melange of favors. I leafed a 2 tsp per cup and steeped for 9 min. and still felt it could have been a bit stronger. I added a little vanilla stevia and it brought out the pumpkin flavor( for me). I guess I thought there would be a little more pumpkin .
Flavors: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Coriander Seed, Pumpkin
Preparation
This is one of those teas Teavana got rid of when they changed to no nuts. It’s pretty hard to have a Tropical Nut Paradise. This is one that still has nuts but I think it got somewhat old. There is very little taste even though I over leafed quite a bit. I taste the cinnamon but both the pineapple and nuts are weak. I remember having this before and it wasn’t this disappointing.
It seems that the Steepster Monster ate my wonderful, detailed tasting note. Now I don’t want to spend as much time on the note. Let’s just hit the high points:
Never had a genmaicha before. They always sounded good when I read tasting notes
It is good.
Enjoyed the roasted rice taste and the dark chocolate.
Will drink more! :D
Done!
Flavors: Dark Chocolate, Roasted Nuts, Toasted Rice
always disappointing.
