392 Tasting Notes
Backlogging from yesterday. This has a nice cinnamon scent and a flavor I am assuming is chestnut. I don’t know that I have ever actually had a chestnut. I am not getting much caramel, but it has a nice sweet flavor. I enjoyed it. Thanks Rachel!
Preparation
Thanks for this tea Rachel!!!
I needed something this afternoon to wake me up a little bit in the midst of a lot of laundry. I thought this combination of flavors sounded invigorating! And I was right! It really woke me up and had a great combination of flavors!! I thought all the flavors were there in the right amount too, no flavor was overpowering. It was a very unique and awesome cup of tea!
I think this is my second to last zoomdweebies tea to try, both a sad an happy occasion! I enjoyed this tea much more than the key lime tea. I really like the lime flavor of this tea. I think it melds really well with the black tea flavor. It paired excellently with the peanut butter toast I had for breakfast. I look forward to having this again.
So I have been off tea for the past couple of days due to an awful canker sore that made swallowing extremely painful. It is finely healing and I got a new infuser so I had to have an afternoon cup of tea. This is nice and green tea! It is very green and grassy and I can taste a hint of apricot, but I am not sure I can taste the vanilla. Although it is a smooth cup which is probably the vanilla. Boy did I miss enjoying tea!!!
Mmmmm! I am not the biggest fan of Earl Grey tea, I don’t dislike it I just don’t love it, but any combination of Earl Grey and creme/cream/vanilla I just adore! I was really craving something of this variety this evening and I throughly enjoyed this cup. I also think the name perfectly describes the personality of this tea. I really need to add some kind of earl grey creme/cream/vanilla tea to my permanent collection.
Also thank you Rachel for this tea!
I found this tea to be okay. I liked the key lime cheesecake better. I am also looking forward to comparing this with the lime flavored black. I am not sure what the difference between key lime and lime is, but this tea definitely had something in it besides straight up lime flavor.
Preparation
Had this tea earlier in the night with milk, it was yummy. Still not much of a chocolate flavor, but oh well. The scent is pretty chocolatey – my boyfriend walked by and was like “it smells like chocolate” haha. I am also not sure this gives me more of a caffeine boost than plain black tea but it makes a nice cup.
Like w/ true teas, there are a lot of conflicting stats on caffeine in mate. This site says 100 tea bags of mate = 1 cup of coffee. Again, it’s one site, so take it as you wish (you should probably disregard it lol), but I thoguht I’d at least attempt to help lol http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/712649/the_yerba_mate_and_caffeine_debate.html?cat=69
Okay this tea confused me because the box lists this tea as containing: black tea, jasmine, green tea and natural flavors. So I was like where is the orange in the name coming from? Then I opened the package and a smell of homemade caramel emerged furthering my confusion. Then I steep it and the scent morphs into a sweet vanilla almost birthday cake scent. Then I take a sip and it’s almost all orange (it reminds me on orange spice herbal tea from bigelow) – here I’m at the height of my confusion.
Now the description here lists notes of orange and vanilla which makes way more sense to me so I don’t know what the box was talking about! Regardless the tea was just okay. I am beginning to think I don’t really like orange flavored teas, I think it ends up tasting like watered down orange juice. I am sure I will enjoy the rest of this tea, hut definitely not a favorite.
Also thanks and noticed this wasn’t ranked either. Also, I just had this yesterday after a long time and boy was it yummy :-)
haha – yeah – I remedied that. And it was quite yummy!
