392 Tasting Notes
I made a pot of this the other night and had a cup hot and then put the rest of the fridge. This was the last of my Art of Tea dessert sampler that I had to try. I must say I have loved every tea so far and this one was no exception!
This tea is all about the banana! It smells like BANANA and it tastes like it too, but I really enjoy banana and banana bread and banana runts and pretty much all banana flavored things, so that was a good thing for me. I am not really getting much chocolate but I am also not getting that “I am trying really hard to be chocolate but I’m just not” flavor that I get from most chocolate flavors. It also tastes a bit of roobios but I love roobios especially flavored roobios.
On another random note this tea tastes pink to me and yes I know colors don’t have flavors but if they did this tea is what pink would taste like. I think I might think that because it has this fruity sweet flavor that I associate with pink candy that I don’t know the flavor of, but its yummy!
This tea is great both hot and iced and while I don’t think I would drink it every day I am definitely looking forward to the rest of my hefty sample.
Preparation
Had this today as a sample at teavana – it was pretty heavily sweetened, but it was pretty good. It was nicely spicy. For some reason I found it to taste a bit like rum which I thought was odd. But it was decent. I would have to have more of it and have it non-sweetened to more properly rate it.
Okay that is so weird I was just looking through my old tasting notes and I saw this tea which I did not know I logged. I had this last weekend. And definitely enjoyed it! I was surprised that I had previously given it a 56 and said it was too sour because I was pleasantly surprised at how un-sour this tea was…
Brought some of this to work today – sadly the water cooler was running out of water so I only got 1/3 of a mug but its okay because its almost the weekend which means more time to drink tea!!!!
I really enjoy this tea. I really enjoy rose teas in general (which is not something I would have expected). I love the pepperiness of this tea especially – even though I am not sure where it comes from. I am sorry there wasn’t more to drink, but it certainly perked me up for my last bit of work!
Mmmm… this tea is superb with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! It is minty and smooth, and a little bit chocolately! I really enjoyed this tea. I am however extremely confused by the inclusion of apples??? But oh well it works!
