Well.

If only there wasn’t any peppermint.

Thanks for sharing, MissB! Generally I love sage teas, but I didn’t see peppermint on the label and it’s totally making me queasy today. :/

Not bad. I don’t know that I love the rose petals, but it’s not bad.

I probably won’t drink all of every steep I try. I’m on steep 3 and mostly I’ve been playing with taking photos of pouring the tea…

Eggnog latte.

Almost ready to open the brand new tin! Eee!!! Just a couple cups worth left.

This has got to be the version I have, as mine has orange peels in it.

I think it might maybe be from Bonny? Foolishly I didn’t write anything on the bag. And that is indeed my horrendous scrawl, so I must have shared it out with a few people.

This is actually pretty good! The smokiness of the black tea actually holds its own with the MULTITUDE of cloves in there. I’d say it’s a lapsang souchong with touches of something else. Pretty decent. Really nice with milk, but I’d prefer some maple whipped cream. ;)

In other news, New Job is Best Job. Friendly, fun to organize, they feed me. Yay! As it’s union, it’s still only temporary. Once the job listing goes live I’ll be able to apply for it. :D So excited.

PS. Good with eggnog.

Thanks for the tea, MissB!

This is kind of interesting. From various notes, and the description here on steepster (their website is down…), it’s supposed to be a super fancy puerh. But I’d have to disagree.

There’s quite a lot of that icky “wet dirt” flavour that I’m going to call “fermentation flavour”. It’s a loose puerh, and I used 2 tbsp in 130-ish ml water. Now that I’ve thrown away 4 or 5 steeps, it’s starting to lighten up a bit and a lot of sweetness is coming out. I’m not getting overwhelmed by dirt anymore, although it’s still present.

So I’d say it’s not bad. It’s not great, but it’s not bad. I think my parents would really really like this one, so I’m going to tuck it in with their Christmas gift (a selection of puerh samples, because I have no money). Their local tea shop only has 2 kinds of puerh – a loose, and a cake that I don’t know that they should buy. Hopefully I can get them hooked and then they’ll come over and we’ll have fun tea shopping.

Tasty medicinal herbal thing with honey.

Perfect because I’m not feeling super hot right now. I think it might be the oolong from the Salted Caramel tea I had earlier. :/ Oolongs sometimes don’t agree with me.

Anyways, I like this. I’m glad I found the last lonely tea bag. And now I’ve drunk it. :)

I’m not sure “like” is the right thing here. Sorry you’re feeling poorly. Glad you found something to help. Sorry you don’t have more.

It’s a perfect excuse to have carbs for dinner, though! Mmm, cereal. ;)

I totally accidentally killed this.

Sample from MissB. Thank you. :)

Used boiling water. Waited 2 min. Sniffed. Spinach instead of the lemon I was expecting. Sip. Down sink.

It’s a sad tea story for this tea.

Mmm, this is good. Thank you, Sil.

Taking a break from cleaning and reorganizing my apartment. I’m planning to move a bunch of things in the living room, but have to put away ALL THE THINGS first. :)
