2291 Tasting Notes
Steeping this sample from Dexter on my desk today, which means hotter water and shorter steeps.
Mmm. This is tasty. Not sure how to describe it really, quite fruity. Maybe cherry wood. Some citrus. Malt.
Yep, I still like this one. Thanks so much for the sample! :)
Favourite tea. Such a good one to have when I’m sick.
Definitely need to keep my eyes open for this one. If they’re discontinuing it, maybe I can get a 250g bag…
Almost done with this! Of the three teas I got in store that day (the others being limeade twist and peach tranquility), this one was my least favourite. But it’s still not bad.
And at least Teavana is always on the up and up about their ingredients. I’ve never caught mistakes or missing ingredients like what davidstea does.
I have a bad bad feeling that I am coming down with The Sick. :( :( :(
So I’m going to drink all the healthy herbal teas I have this evening, in the hopes of giving my body micronutrients it needs, and also hydrating like whoa. I don’t have sick days right now, so if I have to take time off it means my paycheques get a little sad.
I do like this tea. Sweet hay and almost a berry flavour. Yes, it’s medicinal. Yes, it’s a truly herbal tea. Yes, I always add a little honey to it. But I like it. And there’s a local shop that carries it, so I’m totally going to get more.
She was lovely and measured out 7g for me, which made it super easy. 7g tea, 145-ish ml water.
This is actually better than I was expecting! Yes, a little bitter, very fresh and green tasting, but it’s a sweet green rather than a spinach/kale green. More like green grape skins, actually. I’m brewing it with the lid off, since it’s such a green tea. I don’t want to overheat it.
I do prefer the ridiculous honey notes of the moonlight cake that I have. So while I can enjoy this sample, it’s not something I’d ever consider buying – and not just because of the terrible marketing tactics. (And shezza, I’m actually drinking most of every cup tonight. :D )
Preparation
Om nom nom. In a travel mug at work today.
This is really delicious. So mapley. Such a tasty oolong.
I think I need to try western steeping some of the other oolongs I have, so I can drink them down by bringing them to work.
Preparation
Pulled this one out last night to give a sample to Shezza, but then didn’t put it away again. :) So I’m enjoying it today, in my travel mug.
I find that with the spices and the lapsang souchong, it travels quite well for me.
I did add a touch of maple syrup and some milk, though. So YMMV.
Preparation
Random oolong from someone. :D It’s actually really nice! Smells a little toasty and like steamed veggie water, but tastes sweet and thick and floral with a bit of spice notes like pepper.
Yum.
It’s some sort of TGY.
Just going to drink a couple 50ml steeps and then brew up an herbal for sleepy times.
