Very disappointed in this tea…It does not remind me much of coconut, instead I get a maple-ish smell and taste. I can see lots of coconut shreds, so I am assuming that the smell/taste is coming from one of the natural and artificial flavours….I doubt I’ll be trying this again :(

Mmmm! I only bought 16g, just enough for a few tastes! I will be ordering some more online before it goes, it is really good. I love read my lips, and I love mint tea, so while I expected to like this I didn’t really expect it to be too different. It’s really nice; the black tea base is perfect and it is minty but not too strong. It has a sweetness to it too – an excellent candy cane dessert tea :) It’s different enough from teas I’ve already tried to make me want to get more.

drank Wild Sweet Orange by Tazo

I found a bag of this at my house…honestly I have no idea where it came from! I think I can say that this was the worst cup of tea that has ever touched my lips. I was thinking, pretty orange package, wild sweet orange..how bad can it be? Well…pretty bad. I didn’t even find the hibiscus that bad, it was the overwhelming licorice-y taste that it left behind. Holy grossness. It might be the last ingredient listed, but it was pretty much all I could taste. Forget the “fresh picked orange taste”. So disappointing. Needless to say, this ended up down the drain.

drank Caramel Spice by DAVIDsTEA

I recieved a sample of this with my last order, and I am finally trying it today. I was pleasantly surprised with this tea; I almost expected not to like it based on the reviews here. I’m not sure I would buy more, mainly because there are so many teas that I love or still want to try, but it’s not bad at all.

Both the dry leaves and the brewed tea have a great fall smell, and I was sure I smelled oranges. I checked the ingredients on the package and decided that mulberries must have a citrusy smell, but after reading the description on here I think orange peel must have been left off the package! At least I’m not going crazy. The tea is comforting and it is a perfect balance as far as strong/weak goes (I just used the whole sample in my little 2 cup teapot). My first cup had a bit of brown sugar, and my second one was just the tea. I think I liked it better with the sugar, but neither were bad!

This is my go-to tea when I’m having a bad day. It’s easy, it doesn’t require me to think or do anything special or even pay attention while I’m making it. I resteep it and it stays good. I think someone else described it as taking abuse well – and that’s be best way to describe it. I can use boiling water or water straight from my tap and it still does the job. It doesn’t have a particularly strong taste…but it’s warm and comforting. Better than some of the other Tetley varieties I’ve tried that seem to be bland without any redeeming qualities.

drank Kanpe Tea by DAVIDsTEA

This is my second cup of Kanpe, and I’ve decided that it’s a keeper. I love the smell of the dry tea, it reminds me of Christmas, in a fruity way.The spices are definitely what makes this tea. I’m drinking it hot, but the last time I had it both hot and iced (Ok, I wasn’t super keen on it when I tried it hot before, so I didn’t drink much and just put it in the fridge). I’m thinking it may not have been strong enough before, but now it’s nice. I was happy that the hibiscus isn’t overpowering. I would buy this again, but I don’t think it’ll be a tea that I always need to have in my cupboard.

drank Coconut Chai by Zhena's Gypsy Tea

I bought a cup of this from a cafe downtown, thinking it would be smarter to try a cup first and then I could buy a tin later, instead of shelling out 10$ for something I wasn’t sure I’d like. I love coconut, and I’m a fan of chai teas, so I was expecting to love this. Sadly, it did not even come close to my expectations :( The chai spices weren’t bad (I’ve had worse) but I didn’t get much of a coconutty taste or smell from my cup.

I think it was just too weak for me, and it may have been better with two teabags instead of one. If I ever try it again, I’ll try adding a bit of sugar and maybe a splash of milk. Overall, it was drinkable but disappointing.

drank Copabanana by DAVIDsTEA

I recieved a sample of this with my last order, and decided to give it a try tonight. I used the whole packet for my cup, because the pieces were big and I didn’t want to leave anything out. I also read that many people found it too weak, so I figured it couldn’t hurt.

Dry, the tea smells nice, definitely banana-y, and has lots of recognizable fruity bits. Steeped, the smell of banana is the most pronounced. My boyfriend says that it smells like Moon Mist ice cream. Hmm…. Well, it tastes good, but not as different as I was hoping. I find it reminds me a lot of Banana Daquiri, and it isn’t quite as strong as I’d like (I left the tea in while I drank it).

Overall, I’ll finish the cup but it isn’t something I would buy more of.
