Herbal TTB

I’ve had some delicious melon teas from Butiki and Lupica in the past. This one smelled good, but fell short of my expectations. (I feel like I say that a lot in my tasting notes; I tend to choose what teas to buy/drink based on aroma and that can be deceptive.) I definitely get honeydew from this, but it’s mixed with another vague, artificial fruity flavor (I guess that must be the kiwi?) that I’m not enjoying. It’s also unexpectedly sweet; a bit too sweet for me. Although I don’t see stevia in the ingredients list, this is definitely reminding me of some of the pre-sweetened teas I’ve tried from Republic of Tea. Overall, I’m not a fan.

Flavors: Artificial, Fruity, Honeydew, Sweet

Funny how different people have different tastes. I quite enjoyed this one.

That’s one thing I love about TTBs…it’s so interesting to see different people’s reactions to the exact same tea!

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” ~ C.S. Lewis

I was introduced to loose leaf tea by a roommate in 2012, but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon Steepster in 2014 that I discovered a world of tea that went beyond Teavana and the grocery store.

My tastes continue to evolve, but black tea is currently my favorite. I am especially drawn to strong, malty breakfast blends to wake me up in the morning and flavored dessert teas to sip throughout the day.

Just about everything in my cupboard is available to swap, so feel free to ask!
