58 Tasting Notes
This is pretty good!
I love the smell of both the dry and steeped leaves. I was hoping more of the apple flavor would come through but…after leaving it sit awhile it came through more. There is a nice balance of black tea and apple. It’s a smooth tea that makes me think of luxury and fine things. I didn’t notice any astringency. I used 1tsp worth (so I could stretch my little sample out) for 3 minutes…so maybe that’s why it may not have been as strong as I would have liked. This is a yummy tea though…very delicate. It would seem fitting as an afternoon tea:)
Preparation
This is quite good! Thanks Emilie!
It has a nice balance of blueberry and tea flavor. I didn’t taste any astringency. Dry and steeped it smelled fruity. There was a slight bakey flavoring in the background…not much sweetness though. I like this one better then the Cinnamon Roll HB. Perhaps I’m just not a fan of Rooibos/Honeybush? Idk… But this one is pretty tasty:)
Preparation
Thanks Josie Jade for this tea!!!
This tastes delish! After steeping is smells delightful and the raspberry isn’t a major player…just really light. Then after having it sit awhile (while I was making deliveries around the hospital) I came back and the pomegranete flavor came through…kinda tart but really good. I want more!
I got this as a sample from Teajo.
Earl Greys with Ceylon (I believe that’s the most common black tea used) are alright…I always taste an astringency with them…even if it’s faint. This uses Assam though. This man, is awesome! It’s got a full body richness with the fabulous elements of normal EG. ) The sample is very generous and when I run out I will definitely order some more! Job well done!!!
Preparation
I finally got a chance to try this from Josie Jade who sent me a package full of goodies.
Boy does this sure smell like Red Hots when brewed?! I’m not a huge fan of them but it didn’t stop me from trying it. The dry leaves smell almost like licorice…VERY candy-like. Eesh.
The taste…is unique.
It’s VERY sweet and cinnamon-y. I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish it. I had to look on there website to see if any sugar was added and I guess it’s natural and comes from the Chinese cassia?? It might taste a bit better iced. It’s just kinda weird, honestly.
When you take a sip you get a little orange (it’s smooth and sweet) then it zips right to the cinnamon (spicy) then it goes a little sweet again back at the end. It sure is strange to say that THIS is a tea, lol. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it. Would anybody like to try some??? It’s packed full of flavor for sure! And if you like Red Hots THIS tea is for you!
Preparation
Thanks to Dinosara for this generous sample!
I don’t know if my taste buds are just a dud today but this one isn’t quite clicking with me either. It smells lovely…delicate and fruity. I’m just not tasting much of anything really. It tastes…a little plant like but that’s it…no fruity flavor:(. I keep resteeping it (in the original cup) to see if I can coax out more flavor from it (1 tsp) but I’m not getting much of anything. I really wanted to like it (the name made it seem like it would be fantastic) but it’s just not there. Maybe next time:-S
Now that I keep resteeping it (in the same cup) I’m getting some of that raspberry flavoring to come through…it just tastes really artificial though * sigh *.
Preparation
Thanks to Dinosara for this generous sample!
I steeped a heaping teaspoon and all I could taste is black tea with some kind of flavoring behind it. I don’t know if it was vanilla-y or nutty…but it wasn’t very good. Taste was ok but the smell was just like playdoh. I don’t know if the tea was just old or from a bad batch but it just wasn’t what I was expecting since it got some many awesome reviews. Oh well…better luck next time!
Preparation
Woohoo! So I’m the first to actually review this one it seems:)
This tea actually tastes pretty good. The dry leaves smell warm and woody. Once brewed it smells woody as well. It tastes like some kind of nut…it reminds me of autumn. I can’t put my finger on the flavor…it’s not banana bread or the melon…perhaps it’s the acorn squash? Yes…I say it’s definitely a squash flavor profile on this first steeping…thank goodness I like squash lol! It’s very unique and comforting. I’ll update with follow up steepings.
