Red Hot’s Cinnamon Candy! The tea smells like the candy. This is a good tea with a lot of cinnamon flavor. Its not spicy hot, but rather spicy sweet. I like sweet tea and this one needs no added sugar. If you’re a fan of cinnamon, this one is for you.
used about 1tsp (the spoon, not the measure) in moderately hot water for 5 minutes. It was slow to brew to a decent color…light brown but, remarkably clear without a lot of fines.
My first Harney & Sons…and I overbrewed it! This tea is a fine crushed blend and a little goes a long way. My “normal” amount of tea resulted in a brew too strong to drink. The immediate resteep was good though. I turned the strong stuff into iced tea. Not bad, needs sugar and maybe a twist of lemon for me…definitely some sugar. The brew was clear and bright, like I expect from ceylon teas, with body of Indian teas (not sure what the blend is, but I’d guess Assam). Not giving a thumbs up or down on my mistake.
backlogging this one from yesterday. I think this one makes it to my short list of “must have on hand”…its really good. If anything, its light on the tea content. I added a pinch of Assam Melody (from Adagio Tea as well) to it to punch up the tea content…VERY good idea, if I do say so myself and all that….
2nd cup today… putting this one on my “short list” of teas I’d like to keep around. Brewed a bit strong today, but still tasty. I like this one best after its cooled to lukewarm…it lets you keep it in your mouth and savor the flavor a bit longer. Makes my tongue tingle!
