16 Tasting Notes
I had this tea iced a couple of weeks ago, and in all honesty, it was absolutely delicious.
The fruit flavours (especially the melon) all came through very clearly without overpowering everything else, and it wasn’t overly sweet, either. The mint added a nice burst of chill to everything, and I love mint, so that’s always a plus.
Overall, it’s just a really enjoyable tea. There’s a great balance of flavour and it’s really refreshing. I’ll definitely be trying this again.
Preparation
I will admit right off the bat that the only reason I tried this tea was because I’m an Adventure Time fan. (Earl of Lemongrab, anyone?)
The scent was pleasant and lemony, but the tea was… meh. (I suppose I could make an “UNACCEPTABLE!!!!” joke, but it’s not that bad. It’s just… well, “meh”.)
The tea itself was extremely bitter, to the point where I had a hard time drinking it. The lemon flavour did come through, though, and it was nice enough, although it wasn’t enough to offset the bitterness of the tea.
Definitely won’t be trying this one again.
I don’t know WHAT happened to this tea, but it has become absolutely awful. It used to be one of my favourites, and I still have a tin that I bought last year. The tea from that is spicy, smooth, chocolate-y, decadent, and just wonderful.
However, I went into a shop and ordered a cup and I wanted to gag. I don’t know what they did to change the recipe in the past year, or what extra flavourings they added, but it’s terrible. The taste is like… I don’t know, the only way I can describe it is that it’s like drinking an extra-disgusting Tootsie Roll.
And I went back home and brewed the chocolate chili chai that I bought last year to see if it was different, and it was infinitely better.
David’s, do yourselves a favour and don’t change or add extra things to your older teas. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, so on and so forth.
But yeah, this was just a huge disappointment.
Preparation
Absolutely delicious. I love chocolate mint, and I’m always searching for a good chocolate mint tea.
This one knocks every other chocolate mint tea out of the park. They just don’t compare. This tea tastes even better than it smells, and it’s just delightful. It’s a perfect balance of mint, chocolate, and rooibos and it’s so smooth.
I highly recommend stocking up on this one.
Preparation
I don’t know what all these other reviews are going on about, because this tea is delicious. Warm, comforting, and it actually tastes how it should. (Unlike David’s version of this tea, where the smell is leaps and bounds better than the brewed tea itself.)
If you have a chance, I’d recommend giving this one a try.
Preparation
One of the most delicious and refreshing teas I’ve had in a long, long time. If I were to go into detail about why it’s so good, I’d be writing all day.
If you stop by Tealish or consider ordering some of their teas, get this one. You won’t regret it.
Preparation
Contrary to what my many negative reviews may have you think, I don’t completely hate David’s Tea. I’ve just been disappointed by a LOT of what I’ve tried lately.
However, one of their teas I will always adore is Long Life Oolong. It don’t care what is or isn’t in it, I just know that it tastes and smells amazing and I absolutely love it. The taste is clean, refreshing, and slightly sweet. It works well as a hot tea but it’s even more delicious when iced.
This is definitely a tea I’ll be stocking up on. I can’t get enough of it!
