A caffeine free and more subtle taste of mint makes spearmint a favorite amongst those looking for a relaxing herbal tea. Where peppermint has a bit more of a bite, thus the pepper in the name, the spearmint flavor is a bit more grounded. A more herbal and earthy flavor is what spearmint offers and is more rounded of a taste than peppermint. Great on its own with its clean flavor really being shown off, or used in a blend with another tea this herb really lends itself to almost any situation.
