The year was 2014 and I bought a cake of a tea that tasted like the honey they use in heaven; as if I knew what that tasted like.
That cake was the 2010 Formosa champagne cake from Art of Tea. Why I never saw anyone else do these cakes I never understood.
Fast forward years and I am buying oriental beauty oolong tea in Taiwan to send to Yunnan to be pressed into 200g cakes.
The year in which covid19 is going on and I am in Ohio using the internet to communicate it all. With huge thanks and relief, the processed went smoothly and I have my only pressing of 2020 done. Five year material that’ll turn to delicate honey in the future, but ready to drink now.
