Sipdown, sort of. I only had enough for one cup. I pulled a bit out of the holiday sampler before leaving it behind at my partner’s parents’ house for Christmas. I really only ordered the sampler so I could try the Ho Ho Hojicha; I justified the purchase by making it one of the treats we brought with us when we went over.

I drank about half the mug hot and half iced. I do think it’s better iced. Hot, I get tart cranberry with a bit of sweetness. Iced, that sweetness is a more pronounced sweet berry flavor. Either way I’m not really getting anything effervescent, alas. It made for a decent tea soda when I added seltzer, but the tartness of the cranberry got washed out that way and it ended up being more of a strawberry soda that was a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall I think I prefer Davids’ Cranberry Gingerale for a cranberry soda tea from this company – the ginger helped temper the sweetness in that one a bit.

Iced!

I say every year that one of the faults of Adventageddon is that I’m so busy drinking advent teas that I kind of miss out on having the teas already in my stash that are more seasonally appropriate. Yes, I have the odd Candy Cane Crush in the summer and that sort of thing, but there’s something to making Christmas/Winter teas during Christmas/Winter that I miss out on a bit…

So, on one of the days I finished advent teas early a week or so ago I went looking to find an iced tea and I took the opportunity to enjoy this sweet, effervescent blend that was released as part of our winter collection. It’s boozy in a playful way with ripe strawberry and crisp, tart cranberry notes. Very yummy iced!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

Tiffany :)

This sounds great. I don’t know the full ingredients (so hoping no stevia ;)) but I love cranberry – hoping this one makes it online, was one of the few DT teas this year (cranberry gingerale, mint everest return?, this one, and I think there was a hojicha one?) I was hoping for but are currently store exclusives.
