RiverTea closed

I went onto the website a few days ago to place an order, and all the teas were free. I submitted a form, and posted on their FB page. I just got an email back saying they closed.

It took me all this time to finish the Granny Spice Cake, and now I’m sad I can’t get any more. :(

That’s sad – they had some really great fruit teas that I liked

Wow, without selling off their stock?

Yeah, the few teas I tried from them were very good!

Damn, I liked their stuff too. Now I’ll have to hug my tin of Granny’s Cake even closer.

Though, to be fair, I know that they were not very active on a lot of social media.

“All the teas are free” Do you think they will be sending them for free? I added things to my cart and I got an e-mail confirmation even though I didn’t have to add any payment info?

Yeah, not sure how that works.

I sincerely doubt it. It’s probably more a case of the prices on the website being reset to zero since they won’t be using it anymore.

Oh no, my sib is going to be totally devastated. She was just telling me how much she loved their Spring Oolong.

The raspberry oolong? Yep, that is a good one!

That’s the one. I think she may have gone so far as to call it the only tea she needed. Guess she’ll have to find a new true love. What a shame.

Aw, that’s terrible!

That’s too bad but because I wanted to try them. There are so many tea companies already though, I just think the competition is really extensive. If anyone gets free tea that is a bonus, maybe they are just trying to get rid of their stock?

I wouldn’t think anyone will get it. It doesn’t make sense to “throw good money after bad” and ship orders for people if things are so bad that they have closed.

Maybe they just want to get rid of tea but not throw it out? But then they’d at least want money for shipping…
