Admissions now on sale at http://www.midwestteafest.com/store/
Limited numbers of VIP admission bundles and workshop registration also!
The pu-erh workshop is not yet available for registration but it should be in the next few days. Possibly another couple of workshops to come as well, including one on oolong cupping. :)
Woohoo! Got my ticket :) Is there going to be a Steepster meetup?
Tell ya what… since Steepster was the place the first glimmer of this project happened, I’ll have spiffy ID stickers at registration for Steepster peeps. Just say you are on Steepster and you’ll get a sticker to help other Steepsters find you. :)
Sweet :) One more thing.. How does one claim the discount at the Hampton Inn for lodging? Just mention this festival?
Oooh combining the festival with a place for Steepster peeps to mingle seems like a genius plan ;)
Great idea Nicole. I’d love to meet up with everyone :)

Yayyy! Just got my tickets :P
A blog has been added to the website at http://www.midwestteafest.com/blog
It will be a rolling update of announcements and other tasty tidbits for those of you who don’t do Facebook. :)
Couple of big announcements today.
Devan Shah of International Tea Importers, Chado Teas & Waterfall Teas along with America’s Tea Sage, Mr. James Norwood Pratt, will be joining us at the festival!
Also, Harney & Sons has joined us as a sponsor as well as our local alternative weekly, The Pitch!
I am going to have the chance to meet THE James Norwood Pratt?!?!? EXPLODES!!! Seriously, he is such an inspiration, I think I might pull a Victorian lady and faint, hehe.
Meet him, yes! And he’ll also be doing a presentation, I believe. :) It truly is very special to be able to sit in on one of his speaking engagements. So much tea knowledge.
It’s also official now that Harney & Sons will be joining us as a vendor as well as a sponsor!
Yay! Congrats, girl! I hope your festival is a BIG success! I think I’m out of the tea festival business now, though :-P That was about as much excitement as I could handle without being carried off in either a stretcher or a straight jacket!
Thanks, Ellen. You did a great job, though! It was a fantastic event. :)
My hometown! Count me in! See if Shang Tea would like to be involved as well!
Shang is involved! :) Check http://www.midwestteafest.com for updated details on vendors, volunteering, presentations & workshops!
i really wish i could come
I wish you could too. But you have happy things awaiting. :)
Yay! Just bought my ticket! The girl who was going to come with me is likely backing out, which is frustrating in itself but I am working on getting two others to come with me. Muahahaha!
Lorna Reeves, editor of Tea Time Magazine will be joining us at the festival to speak on the topic of Afternoon Tea Made Easy. She will also have some of the fantastic Tea Time recipe books there to sell!
Check us out on Facebook tomorrow night for a slideshow featuring Mandala Tea’s Smart Soak! :)
