Overboard TTB--Closed and ON THE MOVE!!!
I’m only away for the week of Christmas from 19-28, other than that I’m stuck here. So depending on how long the box stays with people I might need to be switched
Alabama. :)
May I recommend you keep the spreadsheet on Google docs?
It makes it so everyone can edit it online, look at it online, etc. That way there’s no need to replicate spreadsheets in the box or to have to do the hand-writing thing.
If you’d like to avoid the work of laying one out, you can grab this template I made:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cM9_FQLiFBfpVDv_3Ia2tb1resdyQWLp7eFPBzVpG28/edit?usp=sharing
Just click file: save a copy, then rename it to whatever your TTB is, click the share button top right, click advanced, make sure it’s set to share with anyone who has the link (as opposed to private) then just use the share link on your TTB page :) Make sure the permissions are set to “edit” not just “Comment”. Then anyone in the TTB can edit their stuff into the list and such. Hope this helps!
Arshness, I’m guessing the “Alabama” part means you’d like to join us, then? :)
Ok, I hope I did the template thingy right. Here is the link (although I may still make a change or two before I send it out tomorrow):

The box is out! I sent it off yesterday morning to rosebudmelissa with a weight of 1lb 6oz. The list of teas is online (with the link being in the comments to Arshness’s post right up there ^), but you can always print it out and write on it if you’d like to. Remember to be following the person before you and the person after you so that you can send and receive messages. I hope everybody has fun!
I hope it’s ok, but I took the liberty of adding a tab of everyone’s wishlists (after me). Bummer the filter options in steepster are still buggy since it’s sorted by tea name and not tea company and then tea name.
I sent the box off to Jeweledthumb today. I don’t have a kitchen scale, so I was eyeballing what I added to replace what I took out. Final weight was 1 lb 5.2 ounces, so it did lose a little weight, sorry about that. I really enjoyed trying the various teas. I look forward to seeing all of your reviews! Now that I’ve participated in a TTB, I might organize one myself.
I’m glad you had a good first experience! I think ttbs are one of the best ways to try lots of new teas.
I really don’t think anyone will be upset about that little bit of loss. Besides, some of it was packaging weight probably. No biggie. If you’d lost 8 oz instead of 0.8 oz, then we might have had a problem! Hahahah
I received the teabox!!!
@rosebudmelissa: I only live on the other side of the beltway, so I would hope so!
So I’ve already updated everything on the spreadsheet, but I wanted to update that the box is going to be sent to Veronica tomorrow, and because I’m a tiny bit OCD, here’s the stats with weights:
I tried to add a least 1 item from everyone’s wishlist, so I hope everyone enjoys the box after I did. Happy Holidays everyone. =)

Ok I’m about to head to the post office and the box is weighing in at 1 pound 16 ounces.
PS – In case people aren’t already aware, USPS offers an online label making/and pick up option that gives you free delivery confirmation, so the box included tracking and insurance cost me $5.32 to send to Veronica. Definitely something to keep in mind if you weren’t already aware of their program, it’s called “click and ship” on their website, though you will need a scale.
