Butiki Teas: Mystery Teas Revealed!!! Herbs & Spices?
UPDATE: Unfortunately, we will not be releasing any new teas today or tomorrow but you can expect to see 5 new teas this weekend! The large batch of the Smoked Banana Maple is not quite right so we need some time to tinker with it. Instead of just releasing the Raspberry Jam & Cashew Butter today, we will do all 5 together. I can say that the Raspberry Jam tea is fantastic! It came out perfect! I couldn’t be more pleased and the feedback so far has been great! The 5 teas that we will be releasing this weekend are: Raspberry Jam & Cashew Butter, Smoked Banana Maple (black tea & lapsang base), White Chocolate (Premium Taiwanese Assam base), Pear Jasmine (Taiwanese Bi Luo Chun and includes some star anise-tastes like a pear hard candy), and Decaf Raspberry Chocolate Waffle (our raspberry truffle flavoring with waffle flavoring added and a decaf black Indian tea). We are really happy with this batch! The pear tea and the banana tea will be pretty limited but we will have plenty of the other 3.
Oooh. Totally gonna pick up some of the White Chocolate & Pear Jasmine. Maybe the Smoked Banana Maple though I’m not too keen on teas with Lapsang in them.
Though I’m bummed that you’re all out of the Peach HoppiTea. I knew I should’ve just ordered when you announced your closing. Lol.
Most certainly going to grab the Raspberry Jam & Cashew Butter and the White Chocolate, and then probably the Smoked Banana Maple if I get to it before everyone else scoops it all up ;) Might have to try the Decaf Raspberry Chocolate Waffle just because I’ve never had a waffle-flavored tea!
I’m also super disappointed that I missed out on the Peach HoppiTea. If you were able to reblend another batch, I would definitely order at least an ounce.
The Cookie Lady-The waffle gives it a buttery slight spice flavor.
For those interested in the Peach HoppiTea, we can make another batch with a different base tea if there is enough interest. Any ideas what base tea you might like to see?
Oh, I didn’t realize the Guranse was all gone! Hmm… maybe the decaf Korakundah and/or one of the lighter/peachier darjeelings?

The Jasmine Pear will be this weekend. I’m thinking Sunday. Unfortunately, we don’t have it priced out yet.
Will Butiki be planning any kind of Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals this year?
Not sure yet. Still thinking about it. If we do, the percentage off won’t be as crazy as last year. There will probably be contests and giveaways though.
I was wondering if your Yixing Dragon Gaiwan actually has any of the flavor-holding qualities of yixing, since the description says it has a non-pourous interior. I am looking for just a regular gaiwan that can be used for many different types of oolong, but the design on the outside of that one is so beautiful that I’m really hoping it will work for me!
The interior is either ceramic or something similar. It can be used for multiple teas. You may want to occasionally bathe the gaiwan in tea to develop a nice luster on the exterior though.

Glad they sound good! :) We didn’t measure them out but you can get a rough idea based on the base teas. The Indian Black teas will make a nice amount.
Do you think you’ll end up doing a mango tea? I was super interested in the original idea of white chocolate and mango. :)
Tea Pet-We might do another mango tea down the road. If so it would probably be spicy mango. Unfortunately, the combo of mango and white chocolate just tasted like musty mango. Not good at all.
The Nutmeg Cream was crazy good. I just ordered 2oz of the Nutmeg Custard. I will hurt someone if I don’t make it through winter with enough of that stuff to satisfy my cravings when they pop up. This order was really in the best interest for everyone in my household. :)
Dustin-Once I realized how fast they were going, I held an ounce for you just in case. It would be awful if the person that recommended it didn’t end up getting any Nutmeg Dusted Custard. Glad you will be able to make it through the winter! :D
More teas down the road? So there will be other new blends? For some reason I was thinking these were the last six blends?

Yay! There was still some left and I ordered the yixing dragon gaiwan (so excited for that) along with 4 of the new teas and a bunch of other teas. Happy camper :)
Just wanted to mention that we are now more than half way through the Nutmeg Dusted Custard. If you want that one, I wouldn’t hold off on it. We are only doing this batch since it requires so much flavoring.

So hard to wait and wonder what teas will have made it into my order! Really hopeful that I got some 3 friends! And Nutmeg custard! And caramel vanilla Assam! …and….oh, well will I think I will hear tomorrow, fingers (and toes) crossed for 3 friends…

I think we are fine on the Caramel Vanilla Assam front and the Nutmeg Custard we made it so that you can only order it if it was available since we had a fixed quantity. The 3 Friends we ran out of pretty early on, so I’m not sure about that.
I dragged my feet placing an order and now Almond Indulgence is sold out. It’s probably my most favorite tea ever! Is there any way possible you’d make more of it? I’d be willing to buy an absurd amount.
Well, we are out of the base tea. It can be done just not sure if you would want to. Basically, I would have to ask for a big favor to see if I could get just 2 pounds of that tea but could see it end up costing a bit.
