Purion Kettle
I have read on another site that a type of kettle called a Purion kettle is really good for boiling water for tea. They are made by Lin’s Ceramics I think based in Taiwan. I have tried emailing them but they don’t respond. Does anyone know of a US or International distributor who ships to the US. I don’t think Lin’s Ceramics sells directly. I am hoping to find one that does not use charcoal as I can’t use charcoal indoors in my building.
For Lin’s Ceramics try – The Tea Merchant http://www.theteamerchant.net/teaware/teapots/porcelain/
Thanks for the link. They are currently out of stock. I will look into it later anyway. I probably won’t have the money until Christmas anyway. I am also not sure if my apartment complex would like me using the alcohol burner. I am hoping to find a Purion kettle that I can use on an electric burner.
You can also send them an email. They were very slow to respond to me, but I did eventually get in touch with their sales team. They have a bunch of US-based agents so it is possible you might be able to buy one locally.
