TEA and BOOKS on a rainy day, how much do you like it?

A rainy day, an endless pot of chai, and a good mystery always makes me happy. Sometimes I’ll exchange the chai for Earl Grey, but it’s usually chai.

Mmmm, chai. So comfy and cozy!!

I have a sound maker by Conair from Amazon.
Here’s the link:

I should have bought the newer version with a clock radio though.
Its good for poetry writing too.
I just moved a plastic set of drawers next to my bed so I can drink tea in bed and read.

What a great find! Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness! Absolutely love the rain! Love everything about it. Love reading while it’s raining outside, driving, and pretty much everything else. It makes me feel so calm and relaxed, it’s the best weather in the world! And yet I live in the entirely wrong state for rain…
It’s so dry here. I hate the heat so much…it needs to rain more often. I mainly started getting into the tea world this year, and it’s barely rained so far, so I don’t have a specific tea that I love to drink in the rain. I just like everything in the rain, doesn’t matter what kind of tea or what kind of book I’m reading-as long as it is good!
Though in past years I’ve read a lot of biographies while it rains, so those are the kinds of books I think of when it rains.
But I’ll do anything, read whatever, drink whatever in the rain. The rain combined with anything is good in my book.
Just writing this and thinking about it makes me feel so ridiculously happy inside!
I really need to move away from the heat one day haha

I enjoy drinking oolong on rainy days, preferably a darker oolong, im not sure why.

I don’t really have a rainy day day but would probably choose a light oolong. And the book? I’ve always loved Barbara Erskine novels (especially Lady of Hay).
Actually this got me reminiscing about when I was a kid. I loved to climb the apple tree in the summer. I would climb up with my book and stay there all day eating nothing but apples. The book was my fav Little Women.
Loved this question TeaFairy!

Yes, one of my favourite Barbara Erskine novels. I should pull it out of my bookstand and read it again.

There is something special about hearing it pour, curled up with a blanket and a really good book, drinking hot tea. What I find even more enjoyable is sitting on a covered porch drinking tea and watching the water drip off of trees after a heavy rain. It’s wonderful!

Oh how I wish I had a covered porch. I would need a screened in one though to keep the mosquitos away. They’ve just been so bad this summer.

It’s finally a grey, kind of rainy day here, and all I want to do is curl up in my blanket with the cat, make tea and read! Unfortunately I’m at work..hopefully it’s raining when I am off haha. I like reading any book when it’s raining, and as for tea, usually a cozier one, either chai, Earl Grey, or shu pu’erh, or a cozy black tea. Chai has been my beverage of choice lately..you know fall is coming when…lol
