Assam mid season ?

I’m new to exploding teas and came across a mid season assam which I figured I’d try as most are 2nd flush. The tea is full of stalks and whilst drinkable seems ill defined . Looking deeper I realise there are very few "mid season " assams. Is there such a thing as mid season assam or is this just a seller finding a cunning way to flog a cheap stalky tea? The tips lack the gold I see In other assams too .
