You won’t be disappointed. Good quality and it will help you on finding the “good” stuff if you branch into puer.

Garret – Thanks so much for thinking of me! I have not had a chance to sample them yet and at the rate I’m going I never will. I am hoping I might take some time this weekend to try. I will have my younger brothers, but maybe I could convince them to try puerh! Once I have tried them, there will be tasting notes, as long as Steepster is functional again by then.
The smart soak blew me away with how well and easy it was. And, for not enjoying puerhs, I actually really enjoyed the Nobel mark. I think the raw pack will be more my style but I’m very excited to have found one puerh I could see myself drinking. Thanks!
I agree on the Smart Soak. I was so happy that it removed the tea stains from the inside of my mug! :)

I am waiting for the sheng sampler Garret – although I probably have samples of most of them already (but they make good travel tea).
So if we only order nothing but the sample pack, it’s only 5? But if we add something else to the cart the deal is off? I was going to place an order for the pack and added other things to the cart just like Garrett recommended but then the deal went out the window because it added the shipping back on. So by adding the other things it tacks on the extra five bucks. Doesn’t sound like much of a deal anymore. Too bad, was about to purchase but am now put off.
It’s either $5 for the sampler and free shipping (which is -$5) or if you add other things to your order it takes $5 off for the sampler but you have to pay for the shipping (which is $5). So either way, it’s still $5 off at the end of the order.
Nope, that’s what I thought as well. But the minute I add other things to the cart, it adds the $5 for the sampler and it also adds the $5 for the shipping. So it’s $5 total for just the sampler but if I add a $14 teapot, it comes out to $24. $14 for the teapot, $5 for the sampler and $5 for the shipping.
It should apply during checkout. But I think Mandala’s website is broke somehow today since it won’t let me add anything to a cart (keeps saying I have to select an amount even though I have) and it won’t give me a shipping quote when I’m in the shopping cart with the sampler. So you can either wait a day (probly less when they ralized the site isn’t working and fix it) or send Garret a message letting him know about how the discount isn’t working for you.
I know it’s not a perfect situation, but we wanted to make it so people could still get the sampler for $5 – even if they are ordering other things. The sampler cost $5. If you order it alone, it is $5 (includes shipping). If you order it with other things, you will get it for $5 but you will have to pay flat-rate $5 ship for the other items, just like any other order. It is not free-ship for everything on the order.
You don’t need a shipping quote – US orders are $5 flat-rate, Canadian orders are $9 flat-rate (up to 4 lbs).
Just checked with our web people and they are checking out to see what the problem is with the shopping cart that you are experiencing. We will have it rockin’ and rollin’ in no time (I hope). I appreciate your patience!

My point exactly. If you are ordering just the sampler, you pretty much get free shipping and just pay for the sampler or pay for the shipping and get the sampler free. But if you add other stuff to the cart, well now you pay for the sampler AND also pay for the shipping. So I might as well just buy the sampler alone. That way I get one or the other free. I was really looking forward to buying some teaware from you that I had my eye on for a couple months. But I’ll have to make due with the Sampler only.

Creating shopping cart discount rules for this sampler was a difficult task of balancing some technical limitations, business needs, and our impulse to share tea as generously as possible. Perhaps I can find a way to structure it that will accommodate the wishes of even more customers, like yourself, in the future. This is sampler pack v.1.0. I hope we get the chance to serve you.

So any chance this will be offered again in the future? I have not tried much Puerh at all, but 3 of the 4 teas in this sampler are on my list
But due to being broke, not working and about to head on a vacation to Washington state…I can’t buy.
Actually I really shouldn’t buy any tea again till after Christmas, but not sure I can hold out that long.
Out of curiosity, what will end up in the raw sampler? I keep hearing I should try more raw puer, so I will very likely get that one.
