tryeh yixing
Does anyone know anything about this company and if their yixing pots are any good?
My local coffee shop carries them and they are some of the cheapest good looking pots I’ve seen. I’m nervous though if they’re so cheap they might not be good.
I asked the owner of the shop how to take care of them(without asking if they were yixing) and his english wasn’t the best but he said to use one kind of tea with it and never wash just rinse which makes it sound like it’s real.
A few of the teapots listed on tryeh.com are also for sale at Teavana.

What I have learned from buying both cheap and expensive pots is to avoid any with decorations which are applied to the pot, like animals, flowers or other figurines. These tend to come off the pot or start the pot cracking. Pots with painting, or kanji carved into the pot are okay. The photos show some which are red and plain. Those would be what I would go for. Unless of course you just want to display the pots and not use them.
I’ve never heard of them before but I think this is my favorite teapot ever. http://www.tryeh.com/images/1020_copy.jpg Anyone know where I can pick it up? Actually a quick search of whale yixing turned up a bunch or options!
they are pretty but i wouldnt drink out of those. I got myself couple pots from Yunnan Sourcing and I’m pretty happy.
