Helping out a Friend and Would Appreciate Your Advice!

Hey guys, a friend of mine recently asked for advice regarding the best organic, non-China-originated tea brand on the market, as well as a black tea recommendation excluding English Breakfast and Earl Grey – I’d definitely appreciate some communal advice from my fellow Steepsters! Thanks in advance :)

One issue with organic teas, in the artisan class of teas that many of us drink, is that organic tea is not the best tasting. Many teas we drink are grown organically, but certifications vary because of differing regulations for organic. The European Union has stricter controls than the US, but FDA certification is more expensive and time-consuming to get.

Oolong-tea.org is a site for mostly organic Taiwanese teas. O-cha.com in Japan has organic options for some of the finest sencha and gyokuro available outside Japan. Goodgreentea.net carries some of the finest Korean teas you can find, as well as black teas. Now, see if your friend doesn’t drop over at the prices for the incredible teas these sites offer.
