Steeps 1 and 2 were really fruity – 3 and 4 were more grassy, hay (still have hints of fruit) – all have some of the earthy (moldy/musty) pu’erh.

I did. I’s sadface. The extreme bitter thing had never happened to me before the other night when I was doing the side-by-side and it didn’t do it with the other one. But this is just like that one and they aren’t from the same place :( :( :(

How low is low – I sometimes like sheng as low as 75-80C depends on the tea. Sorry you are finding it bitter.

I’, not saying there is zero astringency though, but it doesn’t translate to bitter to me, more citrusy.
