My Daddy and Oscar Wilde
Edited: Oh! I forgot the whys.
My Daddy because he’s been gone 14 years and I miss him a lot and Oscar Wilde because, well, Oscar Wilde.
All my sympathies regarding your father. And I love your choice of Oscar Wilde!
Hmm.. great question.
Hmm.. great question.I’d probably say Marilyn Monroe, because she’s such an icon, even today. Plus, she seems like she’d be way fun at parties, even more subdued tea parties.
Aloysius Pendergast, Richard Burton (explorer, not actor), Alton Brown & Valentine Wiggin.
In reality, I’d have tea with anyone who wanted to have tea. :)
Woo Sir Richard!
Also Alton Brown totally shops at the farmers market I used to when I lived in Atlanta, watching Good Eats makes me homesick :P
Not racist or crazy but I would like to have tea with a couple people…
Hitler and Eichmann
Charles Manson
Elizabeth Bathory
Vlad The Impaler
All in one room at once, for a cup and to pick their brains(Not literally like Bathory does or course).
Doctor Who, of course. I would particularly like to have tea with the 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi because I think he would have so much we could talk about regarding his new role. I truly think he will be amazing as the 12th Doctor.
That’s a really good answer!! Didn’t even think of that one! :O I think he will be great too!
Tea with ALL the doctors. Now that would be a party. But crockery would get broken or a teapot would fall into a singularity or something, so it might be tricky.
Probably Queen Vic and Empress Dowager Cixi. (: http://bit.ly/NAy18b
Both Queen Elizabeths, George Clooney (I can swoon and talk to him about politics and humanitarian activism), Benedict Cumberbatch (I’m in lurve), and The Doctor (Eleven is my favorite).
I really want to sit down with Steven Moffat and explain to him exactly why people hate him, and why people think he’s sexist.
Too right! I’m so conflicted about my love for Doctor Who and Sherlock given my issues with Moffat. It’s like loving Orson Scott Card’s books but having issues with his ideologies.
Hmm this is a hard one…Like many I would not be able to pick just one
Charles de Lint-favorite author. (Though would be just as pleased to have tea with Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey. Maybe Dean Koontz, though have not been a recent book fan.)
Nikola Tesla (Sanctuary tv show version that is.Well hell pretty much any main or supporting character from that show.)
William Shakespeare- Love his stuff of course, but would also ask the question that everyone has been asking for years: Did he actually write the plays or what? And to generally pick his brain about what inspired him, etc.
Merlin-If there was an actual Merlin, if there was it’s possible that he was comprised of several different people.
Jesus-same thing as above. (I mean no offence to any Christians with my comments and I apologize if anyone does take offence.) I’d like to find out what he thinks about the world today. (Would go into more detail but I don’t want my post to get to off topic.)
Sigmund Freud-I don’t agree with many of his theories but there is no denying (At least to me.) that he was a very smart and interesting man.
Dar Williams-One of my favorite musicians. I just get the feeling she would be so cool to hang out with.
Cyndi Lauper-Have been a fan of hers since I was a little girl.
Drew Barrymore-Same thing.
Madonna-Same as above
I think I will end up coming back later with more people that I would love to have tea with.
