Need Help Identifying Pu-erh Tea

My mother got a gift from her friend in the form of 100g of pu-erh tea. She can read it just fine and explained to me that the only description in the back is that it is made in 2013, the company name is ‘Jun Zhong’ and it is made in a very traditional tea-making process. It came in a slim silver box, inside having three slim strips of shen/raw pu-erh with a musty, aromatic scent to them.

The silver box has the word ‘platinum’ in front of it in chinese, and in the back lists its weight, method, and that the site for the company is junzhong.cn.

Upon reviewing the site, everything available for sale there was 99999 yuan (approximately 16k us dollars!) in full cakes. However, this slim, silver box is only 100g.

Has anyone heard of this company? Provide any insight? I apologize for my lack of information.

From what I can google on the company, they are import/export and work with Walmart, Dollar General, Target etc. I think the yuan totals just mean they do bulk orders, “any dollar amount” as we would say. Sounds like the tea is a typical “gift” tea, where the presentation is the important thing. For more description of gift tea boxes, check out MarshalN’s tea blog, he wrote an entry on these just a few posts ago.
