Arm day. Workout completed!
20 min elliptical
40 pushups (the girl kind, I’m not bad ass enough for the real kind!)
80 tricep dips
120 bicep curls with 8 lbs each hand
4 × 40sec planks
50 x plank + oblique crunch things (what are these even called?)
Awesome, sounds very thorough and intense!
Hey teaheads! What a wonderful thread to stumble upon! Keep up the good work with the exercise. The body is a wonderful thing and the better we take care of it, the easier all of life is.
I am an avid mover and shaker of the body – yoga, run, strength train, qigong and more. I’ve gotten older, but at the age of 47 feel better than I have at any other point in my life and it shows no signs of stopping.
With all the exercise I get, tea is a huge part of my fitness regimen. I drink tea before workouts, during workouts and after workouts. Performance increases because of the tea I consume beforehand and the tea I drink during and after helps me to get (and stay) hydrated.
Drink up. And keep up all the hard work, my friends! Don’t go too easy on yourself and don’t go too hard on yourself. Enjoy that body.
Thanks for the encouragement :-)
I’m 62 and just started really walking/exercising this last year. I now walk between 3 and 4.5 miles a day. I feel so much better. I don’t have trouble with arthritis anymore. I’ve lost 28 lbs. in the last year. I have gotten a lot of support from this group. I feel like this forum and this thread really help a person feel motivated because of all of the positive comments. The tea has helped a lot in curbing my sweet-tooth and motivating me to exercise.
carol who, that is GREAT! It’s so hard to stick with it. I have a lot of trouble with getting busy and not prioritizing exercise.
I might not exercise today. Mother nature is kicking my butt and I feel like crap! I might exercise later if I feel better, but I’ll be darned if I don’t have some comfort tea NOW!
Exercise really helps with cramps. If you’re up to it, try some of these yoga poses. They’re supposed to help ease the cramps, plus you’ll still get some exercise in for the day(;

If you’re still not up for exercising – vitamin C also helps.
In lieu of working out, I walked about the neighborhood for thirty minutes this late morning. The temp was already up to 80 at that point xP
Not drinking tea as a reward. I need to drink a lot of liquid in the summer and I don’t want to increase my caffeine intake. So, a “fruity tisane”: lemon water.
Count me in on this. I like Mandy’s idea about “no tea for the next day,” due to scheduling and typically working out late at night.
I should probably join this! Though failure to exercise would not stop me from drinking tea. I would like to return to a better state of fitness. I started this weekend! I swam a lot (though in one place the water was just above 14°C (58F)), climbed a lot of stairs and went on a few brisk walks. Now to unpack some of my Oxygen magazines and rediscover some variety to my free weight routines. Good luck everyone.
That water temperature will get your blood flowing! Better just have a cup of tea to warm you.
Definitely, once we got out of the water our skin had that tingling burning sensation you get with colder water.
My friend that I usually walk with wasn’t able to go walking so I didn’t get done as much as usual. Only did 2 miles. BUT… I did the exercises cited the other day with an old episode of Doctor Who. (He says “I’m the Doctor” or someone else says “Doctor”- 20 Russian Twists.,etc. It is a lot of fun.
I only made 81% of my goal but I expect to do better tomorrow. I’m going out to eat lunch with a friend. The restaurant is 1.5 miles each way. They have wonderful tea! Incentive!!

lol. I find mountain climbers tougher. They hurt my legs (not in a bad way, they become fatigued more easily)
I am impressed! Before your first cup!! I hope it was a great cup!
Thanks :D It’s because I exercised in the morning. Hope you had a good workout today~
Today I did 40 minutes of just sweat/dance. 160 calories!
