21 Day Exercise TreaTEA
Sooooo I haven’t been exercising regularly for months. It’s pretty sad. So I thought of a way to make myself do it.
I, madametj, do solemnly vow that I shall not drink any tea at all on a given day until I have exercised for at least 20 minutes. I must have an accelerated heart rate at the end of these twenty minutes. I vow to continue this practice for the next 21 days.

You know what? I’m in. My new apartment has a pretty nice gym and I’ve only been a handful of times since moving in last week. Not acceptable! Going a whole day without tea is damn near impossible for me so this sound like just the motivation I need!

Especially if its the first season, that would be one heck of a workout!
I go to the gym 2-3 times a week regularly but feel like I need to do a little more on no gym days. 20 mins seems perfect. Sign me up!
madametj, what’s your routine? I’ve never done this sort of exercising before.
What, the TV stuff? That’s a link I just found. I haven’t used it yet. As fas as my routine goes, what I USED to do was 20-30 minutes of cardio on our exercise trampoline (don’t laugh at me. lol) followed by a little bit of weight training with 5 lb dumbbells. I need to get back in it! Today I wanna focus on abs.
Thanks, I wasn’t originally referring to the TV workout (I might try Seinfeld lol). The exercise trampoline sounds fun :O
Maybe to help us with this we can post what workouts we do that day, and then say what tea we had as a reward (I’d do that) :D

I jumped on the trampoline throughout an episode of Malcolm in the Middle (20 min) Sweating with an accelarated heartrate. Will have my reward tea after I do some crunches and weight training!
I did 45 minutes on the eliptical. 500 calories according to the machine. Gonna shower, and then I’m thinking something iced and refreshing.
Done with the weight training and crunches. Time for some mint tea!
I’m in! The plan/routine I’ve been using is I set my timer to go off every hour. I don’t have to exercise at that moment but it keeps me aware if i haven’t done anything in the last hour. I have tied my tea to completing exercise (most of the time). I have been doing a lot of walking (3-4.5 miles per day in 1-3 mile sessions)) but haven’t been doing any core exercises. I really like the TV show exercises! I can even pick some phrases/actions on other shows and add similar exercises. What a great idea!
I can’t even find my underwear until I have had tea, much less exercise before.
I’m going to do a scouts honor type of system. I am not a morning person so I don’t have time to work out shower and get ready before my Monday-Thursday classes. I might even do more of an if I don’t work out today I don’t get tea tomorrow kind of thing.
I cheated since I didn’t get a chance to exercise until just now. Since I’ve never done such an intense kind of workout, I experimented and went easy today to see how it went. I definitely need to do some jogging and stretching beforehand. Dynamic stretching isn’t enough.
