Butiki Traveling Educational Box NUMBER TWO - On the move!

The box is here. It’s almost overwhelming.

Well, the box was sent off to mj today. I just want to say how much I really enjoyed this. I found teas that I liked that I would never have guessed I would have enjoyed. I drank an awful lot of delicious tea. I wish I’d had longer to play.

Thank you so very much Stacy for sharing these teas, and Marzipan for organizing.

So much fun! I’d love to do this again.

What is your tea experience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)?
I guess I would say I’m a beginner, almost intermediate.

Was participating in this box worth your time and money (shipping costs)?
Absolutely!! I don’t think there’s another way to be able to try so many types of teas at so little cost.

Did you find it educational? If so, what did you learn?
I found it very educational. It helped me learn a lot more about different types of oolongs and white teas, two tea types I like a lot. I hadn’t had an opportunity to experience many different varieties of those until this box. I also was able to taste and learn about the differences between the different flushes of darjeeling and I learned what a muscatel note is :)

Did you do any specific comparisons (regions, type of tea, etc)? If so, did that help in any way?
My main goal was to try each variety of tea within each type (oolong, white, etc). That helped me figure out exactly which ones I liked. I did do a comparison of the different flushes of darjeeling and discovered that first flushes are my favorites.

Would you participate in a future box like this?
Yes!

What would you change to make this a better experience or more educational?
I don’t know that I would change anything. I thought the provided tasting “worksheets” were very helpful though.

I received the box! And WOW that’s a lot of tea. I don’t even know where to begin..

It’s getting hotter out and my desire to drink hot tea is waning. I’m going to take a tsp of the teas I want to try and I will send the box out tomorrow.
