Cooking with Tea- Fruit Tea Cake
Hey guys we have created we have created a recipe for Charbrew Fruit Tea Bread with Ginger using Charbrew Original Tea. It can also be found on our blog at blog.charbrew.com
Ingredients: -
300g Chopped dried fruit (apricots, apples, prunes)
284ml Charbrew Fruit Tea
30g Stemmed Ginger
230g Wholemeal Plain flour
2tsp Baking Powder
115g Muscavado Sugar
1 Egg
2 tsp Cold Water
Method:
Stage 1: Put dried fruit in large bowl, add tea and soak for 2 hours
Stage 2:
1. Preheat Oven to 160 degrees (fan oven)/180 degrees/ Gas Mark 4
2. Grease Line Based 2lb Loaf Tin
3. Add remaining ingredients to fruit
4. Ensure mixture is combined well
5. Spoon ingredients into loaf tin
6 .Brush with cold water
7. Bake in oven for 1 hour on middle shelf
8. Allow to cool in tin for 10-15 minutes then turn onto cooling tray
9. Store when cool, wrap in cling film
