Can I put the small pot directly on my electric burner to heat the water or is it just an intermediary after i boil water?

I believe that these pots, like tetsubin, are only for steeping and will be ruined by direct heat.

I’ll definitely report back, but I’ve only had a couple of highly flavored Ti Kwan Yin before so I won’t have much to compare to as far as high quality. But it’s definitely again deal. 4oz plus a tin for about $13 after discount really is not bad
