You can only order from three companies for the rest of your life.
T_________________T That… ouch um…
Indigo Tea (cause they have a store near my house
Island Rose
Lupicia (even though I havent officially ordered from them yet I really like all they offer and I love Golden Honey dew)
Taiwan Tea Crafts
Jing Tea Shop or Yunnan Sourcing
Camellia Sinensis (never actually tried them before but they have everything)
@ Marzipan did you answer this question…lol:)
I’m busted! I admit, when I initially posted this it was to get ideas from other people. I started thinking what my answers would be now, and it’s hard.
Butiki will definitely be on there. My main teas are unflavored blacks, and she has a lot of those that I really love. She also has enough other stuff to keep it interesting, and no one does flavor blends like Stacy. She also interacts and listens to the tea community so well, and that’s something we can only say about a few of the company reps on here.
Whispering Pines would probably be on here as well, it satisfies the granola/Birkenstock side of me (does that make sense?) Also a lot of great unflavored teas, and some non caffeinated ones that I love for the evenings.
The third one is tough. I am having a hard time picking one for it, since it would have to fill a need that the other two haven’t filled. I will have to think on this one for while.
I sweeten them, less all the time. But I am southern so it’s hard to kick the habit.
Oh and to answer your question…granola makes perfect sense:) I work for a “granola” Company:-)
I am afraid to get into straight loose black teas…I still enjoy a bag of red rose almost daily(dare I admit that?) with milk and honey. Thats how my love of tea got started…when I was a young girl drinking tea with my grandma.
My favorite when I was growing up was Boston Tea Party, it came in a little copper colored tin and it was a citrusy black. Unfortunately it’s no longer made.
My Dad (and his Mom) always had red rose steeped for eternity with serious milk and sugar. I drank my tea like that as a teenager and then started with flavoured loose leaf. Years later, I like unflavoured Chinese blacks the best and never add anything. They are sweet enough! The tea-volution is fun for everyone. :)
I changed mine…
Teavivre- I cannot be without my Chinese black tea.
Della Terra- for seasonal, and dessert blends.
Lupicia- for blends and assorted teas.
Teasenz- Another company responsible for Yunnan Gold conversion. I will make a real order from them when I can.
Butiki- Haven’t ordered yet, but their teas sound fabulous.
My three:
Whispering Pines – I love a lot of their teas, but I’m addicted to their chais.
Harney and Sons – Golden Monkey! Boston Blend! Paris!
Teavivre – I buy most of my favorite green teas here.
So…I guess its my turn to answer this.
Teasy teas …because they originally came from Nh and I got hooked on their teas.
Butiki…..I just recently ordered from them and am in love with her flaours( I drink mostly flavored teas)
I dont think I could pick a third…as I really just recently started expanding my horizions by ordering online. Maybe the Cozy Tea Cart …because they are local and have a few blends I really enjoy
I think these could evolve as we go along since I am still a tea noob, but right this minute:
1. Whispering Pines – I love the great outdoors and that’s what many of these teas remind me of.
2. Yezi Tea – Some of my top rated teas are from this company. Da Yu Ling? Amazeballs. Also, their CS is excellent!!!
3. Verdant – I’ve tried some really wonderful, fresh first flush teas from Verdant.
4. Tea From Taiwan – Reasonably priced, tasty tea, plus I love the tea articles on the website. Cold brew oolong? Not sure I would have thought to try that.
My first Butiki order is on the way, and I know how loved they are here, so there could be some changes or additions. :)
As a “desert-island” choice, either Upton Tea Imports or Harney & Sons would suffice. To augment my appreciation and understanding of the nuances of Chinese tea, I’d also choose Teavivre.
Lupicia
David’s Tea
Harney & Sons
But really, I could be happy with just Lupicia for the rest of my life. That being said, I really need to check out some of the others in everyone’s responses!
