You can only order from three companies for the rest of your life.

Which three would they be, and why?

Butiki -Stacy is always coming up with fun and tasty new blends. You’ll never get bored.
Della Terra – some fun and tasty staples
A tie between David’s and Teavana..is that cheating? – I needed a major brand to not only get tea but also teaware. :)

In no particular order…
Teavivre
Butiki
Mandala
Lupicia
Verdant

Yeah I know there are 5 there but i couldn’t live without all of them :) Stacy and Lupicia for my flavoured teas (though there are TONS of straight teas i’d get from Stacy too); Mandala for my puerhs and a few of my must have black teas; teavivre for straight blacks; verdant for some tasty blends and laoshan black.

Upton and Teavivre are the obvious choices for me. After that, there’s a gap. Harney would probably be my third choice right now, but there are several other candidates as well. My favorite teas are unflavored Chinese and Darjeeling blacks.

Like Sil, I need at least 5!

Yunnan Sourcing
Verdant
PuerhShop
Mandala
Butiki

But that only takes into account the ones I have presently explored. Thanks to the Steepster community there are more for me to discover. Ask the question a year from now and my answer will probably be a list of 10 :)

Ugghhh this question!! It’s more difficult than choosing teas :/

Della Terra – for their dessert teas
Verdant – for their teaware, many of their straight teas, and their Laoshan Village Chai (I adore this Masala Chai blend)
Den’s Tea – my go-to company for Japanese teas

Runners-up: Yezi Tea has amazing teas, and Upton’s because they’re generally fabulous

For me, it’s relatively easy:
Dammann Frères
Teavivre
Verdant

with a runner up of Harney & Sons. I love just about any Dammann blend, and Teavivre and Verdant are my tops for unflavored teas. My top two pages in tea ratings are almost entirely populated by these companies.

I already pretty much only buy from three companies so that is easy. Whenever I try a new company I tend to be disappointed and often wish I had stuck with the people I trust so I tend to just stick with what I know. Plus I’ve got a huge backlog to get through as well.

Teavivre
Verdant
Davids Tea (for the odd flavoured tea need)

Teavivre and Verdant both offer excellent unflavoured blacks (my fave!) And often have interesting puerh to try. Some of the Verdant blends appeal to me and often taste a lot like tea as well (looking at you Laoshan Black Chocolate Genmaicha!)

Butiki – I’m a tad obsessed with trying all of their teas
Della Terra – I quite like many of their dessert teas, especially those that use their cream flavoring
Den’s Tea – seriously fabulous greens

Close runners up are Teavivre and my Amoda subscription. I guess a subscription would be cheating though :)

I am going to limit it to just the companies I have bought from so far, and not from “the ones I already know I will dig but I haven’t ordered from yet”:

Butiki
Lupicia
Yezi Tea (or… Golden Moon Tea, can’t decide here…)

There’s still a lot of companies I haven’t ordered from and that I see often mentioned on everyone’s lists here, especially Verdant, Mandala & Teavivre.
