Nutritional content of hibiscus tea?>

Does anyone have a link to the actual nutritional content of hibiscus tea?

The USDA has nutritional content listed:

I’m interested in getting the thiamine…but not so much the huge dose of iron.

One post I could find on the matter:
http://nutritionfacts.org/questions/hibiscus-antioxidants-and-iron-absorption/
States the USDA estimate is based off of 100g of flowers and not 100g of tea. Does anyone know about the actual nutritional content? Ideally I would like to get more thiamin through hibiscus tea, but I don’t think I will go for it if it comes with almost a full days requirements for iron, also if it has no appreciable thiamin I would not be interested.

I can’t speak any better than the post you linked to how the USDA gets its info on Hibiscus tea. However, I would point out that Thiamine is water soluble, and therefore a large percentage of it should come out and into the water when you brew the hibiscus, but Iron is not, so little or no iron should end up going from the hibiscus to the water.
