Teavana storage ?

I keep mine in the sealed bags until I open them the first time, then put them into tins.

Definitely keep them sealed until you need them. Even then, go ahead and keep them in the bag, even if you decide to stick the bag in the tin. The resealed bag will do more to protect the tea than the tin will.

You should keep them sealed until you open them.
When you do decide to bust open one of those bad boys, make sure you have a proper sized, as airtight as possible, tin/container. A tin too big will have more air in it and will dry out the teas sooner.
If you don’t have good containers, the ziploc bags that they came in will suffice only if they’re sealed properly, no light can get in, and you drink them often enough.
As Brent mentioned, a sealed bag in a tin would be great!

I too would keep them in their pkgs until you are ready to use them. I bought some tea from Della Terra recently and I wanted 2 ounces of 1 variety. I ordered 2- 1 ounce bags so when I open one, the other stays sealed and fresher longer. :) They were the same price as ordering 1- 2 ounce bag.

same here!! i ordered a bunch of tea from Teavana during their Heavenly Sale (when it got to be 75% off) & also got everything in 2 oz. hermetically sealed plastic bags. thinking the tea might arrive in paper bags or a package i’d need to cut open and store, i also ordered 2 pound tins- don’t need them! i plan to keep the teas in their bags until i use them & even after opening a few, i’ve still kept them in the bags, which seems okay to me.
