How do you weigh your tea?

I bought a simple kitchen scale – digital, with the ability to tare – for about $9 off of ebay. It runs on AAAs (which isn’t ideal) but I’ve also used it for almost a year with no issue.

Mine can measure oz, lbs, g…and something else, but I can’t remember because I don’t use it. It does double duty as my soaping scale, so it’s quite resilient.

I mostly use the gram scale but I’ve tried “cupweight” as well. Once I started using the Breville for steeping most things I started using this less. I mostly just use their measuring spoon. But it’s a good little scale. Compact, easy to use and read, and gets the job done.

It does up to 100g by 0.01, so you’re not losing a much. Works great and was priced right :)

Another vote for http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SC3LLS/ American Weight Scales 0.1 G. I like the 0.1g but the 0.01 would be fine too.

I think I’ll go with the AWS scale – they made the scale I’ve got now, so I’ve already got some calibration weights. Ill bet AWS makes the Upton scale – the Upton pic is identical to the AWS pic on Amazon! Thank you all for the suggestions – it’ll be very nice to stop having to balance cupcake papers on the tiny weigh tray!
