Is shifeng dragon well only available around certain times?

I have bought dragon well samples from an online store before and I really loved it. It turned out to be shifeng dragon well. A month or 2 later I wanted to order some more, but this time it tasted different. I read the description of the tea and they no longer were selling shifeng dragon well. I started browsing multiple online tea shops, but it seemed very few of them were actually still selling shifeng dragon well. This got me thinking, is shifeng dragon well only available around a certain time period, like around the time when it is harvested? And if so, around what time is it usually available in most online shops?

Any other additional relevalt (or even irrelevant interesting tea information) would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Usually the best stuff sells out fairly quickly after harvest, if you can still find it however, like many greens it has a really short optimal shelf life and won’t be nearly as good even 6 months later. I think dragonwell is harvested around march or april or something and then takes at least few weeks to get to the vendors. (also check that the store lists the harvest date and make sure they’re not still selling the previous year’s crop)

The harvest time of Shifeng dragon well is around march. Usually tea companies would keep their teas in fridge to protect its original flavor. If the tea companies have enough stock, then you can get this tea anytime before it expire. Usually Green tea can keep about 1 year.
