Need help with my book; suggestions, feedback?
Hi everyone,
So I made this ebook on Matcha and Puerh to help beginners or avid tea drinkers that are unfamiliar with these teas. Its already on Amazon as “Lessons in Matcha and Puerh” but I think it might be missing a few materials? As of the moment, it has this:
-how to tell the difference between good and bad matcha
-how to age puerh
-how to prepare the teas
-some cooking recipes
-health benefits
-how to make matcha without ceremonial tools
Help will be appreciated. Thanks
How about cold, latte, or smoothie preparation of matcha?
Also, the difference between sheng and shou puerh, why it can smell fishy, and how it is often stored in a brick or cake form. Good luck!
fishy smell? Never caught that scent before? But the reason why that smell would be present is because its fermented, right? That bacteria are eating the leaves?
Also, I see there’s a lot of matcha latte on the web, how about matcha oatmeal?
Ooooh oatmeal yes!! I’ve also mixed it with my yogurt.
I wouldn’t say bacteria necessarily, you won’t get sick from drinking it. It just means its either been poorly processed or stored. A good tea rinse or two will often help, and sometimes it doesn’t translate to the brewed cup anyhow. But it can be offputting, especially for newbies who don’t want to spend money on the good stuff til they know if they like it.
This “fishy” smell, which is sometimes associated with pu-erh is, unfortunately, frequently misunderstood. I think I’ll start another thread about it. But, briefly, good tea, properly stored, doesn’t have this. However, there are several elements to a good pu-erh that can “trick” certain palates into perceiving it as fishy.
