Old Swap Thread!
Just updated my cupboard and am looking to trade samples of any teas on my shopping list or the following DavidsTea: Luscious Watermelon, Kenyan Tinderet, or English Rose. (They weren’t in stock when I visited their store in NYC.) I’m also fangirling over milk oolong. Since milk oolong can be pricey, I’m fine with swapping 2-3 teas for it.
Sample = brews at least 2-3 cups. I will trade in kind. Willing to ship internationally.

I’ve got some things to swap in my cupboard, including Mighty Leaf and Teavana. There are some teas I’d be interested in on my shopping list, particularly the earl grey cream teas or other milk oolongs. I’d also love to try more teas from DavidsTea.
What do you use as packaging for sending a smaller amount of loose tea? Are plastic baggies ok, or would that ruin some of the flavor?
Plastic baggies are fine! I personally use snack-sized but regular ones are fine as well and you can also get smaller ones that are perfect for tea samples. Anything with a strong smell OR anything very delicate (like a white) should be double-bagged to prevent cross-contamination.
The snack sized ones are great for tea like Alphakitty says. There are plenty of sellers on eBay of small sized bags but I don’t feel like they’re necessary unless you’re sending tons of tea and space for more tea rather than plastic is a priority. Just double bag as necessary and all is well.
I’ve used those tiny plastic baggies (that are a couple inches big) for tea trades. You can buy them at dollar stores / craft stores.
I use the baggies that crafters use from Beads and Such if you have an AC moor or Michale’s or Hobby Lobby they are about $2 a box for like 100 find a coupon for the store and there even cheaper! I just got the medium size the one up from the last and its perfect for giving a few cups to like 10 cups of tea :)

I have a 50g unopened bag of Lupicia’s Jasmin Mandarin I’d like to swap. There’s nothing wrong with it, I just added it to my cart on a whim thinking it had mandarin orange flavoring but I was wrong! (This is why you shouldn’t shop late at night). It’s a fine tea, I just have quite a few jasmine blends already and I know I’m not going to use this all up.

Hi, I’m new and would like to jump in because I have some tea I’d like to give away before it goes stale. I can’t guarantee I bought it in the last, say, six months so if your palate is more refined than mine (likely) you might want to skip this one. :-D If you would like to offer a sample of tea back that is fine, but I am fine with giving these away.

I have a tin of Harry and David Raspberry Chocolate Truffle tea in bags as well. This one is not a newer one but it still smells really strong. I’d probably keep the tin and send you the bags and the label. (TAKEN)

I have some English rose tea and im not really to Into it .. its brand new and basically a whole bag i would like to trade it Maybe sample it out? I love Rosewater Turkish delights but this is a bit to much for me … Would anyone want to try and do a little swap ?
