But I’m also super close to a Teavana, and I want an excuse to go shopping, so if there’s anything you’d like to try that I don’t have, feel free to ask. Also, if you’d like any other teas, I’d be happy to trade.

I think Steepster ate my original reply. Oy! Anyway, I was impressed at your collection of Teavana teas. I may be interested in the Gyokuro Imperial and Darjeeling.

There were a few Teavana blends I was specifically interested in, too:
White Ayurvedic Chai
Samurai Chai Mate (these two are sold as a blend, but I wanted to try them both separately AND together – I heard they are very good)
Cha Yen Thai Black Tea
Amadine Rose Black Tea (I’ve only had those two black teas together, but never separately)
Black Dragon Pearls

Do any of those teas sounds like ones you would be interested in picking up?

Ooh, I actually have some of the Samurai Chai Mate and forgot about it. Did you want to swap for the full 4oz of the green? If so, then how about I send you an ounce of four different teas? Or whatever’s comparable. I’ve been meaning to try the black dragon pearls and the Amadine Rose for awhile, but they all look delicious, so whichever ones you’re most keen on!

Cha Yen Thai Tea
Amadine Rose Tea

I wouldn’t mind trying a sample of the gyokuru and Darjeeling, but those don’t necessarily have to be 1 oz.

If you’re feeling brave, I also have some old mighty leaf loose tea I can throw in. It’s hard to find, and they make you buy it in 4 oz so I have a ton – orchard oolong and markesh mint. I warn you, though, this tea is probably 3-4 years old. But it still smells good and has been kept airtight and away from light. I actually have other old teas too i could throw in too. It breaks my heart to throw them away :(

Oh, and if you do pick up the black pearls wouldn’t mind trying a sample of those too. Just more intrigued by the others.

Hey, I wasn’t sure if you had hit up Teavana yet, and if not, I was wondering if it was possible to make a tea switch. Instead of the Samurai Chai Mate, could I have you send the Amadine Rose Tea instead? If you’ve already gone to Teavana, no big deal. Just thought I would ask, since I thought about it more and didn’t want to over-chai myself. I wanted to send this message earlier but steepster was being a pain :(

I wonder what’s up! She’s usually very reachable. Her last tea note seems to be from about a month ago…

She said that she had been busy because the tea swap took a week or two to arrange but it has been 2 months now and I am not sure where I sit. I hope nothing has happened to her yet at the same time I hope I have not lost out on tea. :( I suppose there is not much I can do at the moment.

She’s usually really good (I have received tea from her in the past); something really big might have come up. I hope she’s all right.

There probably isn’t much you can do except wait it out, if she’s not responding at the moment. I hope everything works out.

I sent some teas to a person called Alana237 that also seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Not recommended as a swapping partner. :(

Is there anyway to leave feedback for a good or bad swap? That would be nice and helpful.

I also had a person i traded with to just up and disappear from here too, I use to have mail in my inbox from here still but since the steepster updates they are all gone too she just dont exist on here anymore. It’s not the first time that happened either,thats one of the reasons i dont swap on here anymore because many people on here accept a trade and then disappear. Some of them dont even disappear they just straight up ignore you afterwards or make up 7 different excuses, oh well that just life i guess.

Tommy, that sucks. I was hoping my experience was an isolated one. Mostly I’ve had good luck so far.

I had planned a swap with Alana237 but I ended up delaying it because of the cost of shipping. Then I noticed I never got anything, and sent her a PM that she’s never answered. So glad I didn’t send to her, but sorry you got nothing back Amy :(

That really sucks. I have only swapped a few times but they have all been really excellent. Azzrian, Krystaleyn and Ashmanra are pretty awesome swappers.

ch3rryprinc3ss – I had been messaging Jillian back and forth about a swap, but she took quite a while on her replies and I ended up just giving up. I was wondering if something was going on with her, but it’s not fair not to at least keep people updated.

So far, everyone I’ve swapped with has been great – Amanda, Azzrian, Indigobloom, Missy & Dylan, Amy oh, and Alphakitty. I’m in the midst of three more and have no worries about them (I’ve been so busy lately that it’s definitely me that’s the delinquent so far!)

If you contact them directly, they may be able to work something out to ship to you; I’m pretty sure they’ve done it before. I don’t recall the email address offhand, but they are very active on their Facebook page and will definitely respond if you inquire there.

Sure. I actually had a few more teaspoons so I’m guessing there’s roughly 30g left (I don’t have a scale).
From your cupboard I’m interested in the Yunnan Golden Curls, Ripened Aged Pu-erh, and Copper Knot Hongcha. I don’t know the value of any of it but let me know if you’d want to trade one of them and what you think is fair, and we can work out the details.

I’ll throw in some Rohini Autumnal from Bon The Place (an independent shop here in my city). I’m not overly fond of it and I don’t want it to just sit and go to waste. :)

Hey, nice to e-meet you, hehe.. I’ve wondered how many of us there are on here. If I had to guess I’d say quite a few.

I’ve only encountered one other Guelphite, but afaik there’s no ability to search based on location, so it’s hard to say, and I don’t always check people’s locations!
