Tomorrow afternoon I’ll go to randomizer.org and put in the number of people who have signed up (right now it’s 14) and ask them to generate two unique numbers. For example, if they gave me a 3 and an 8 right now, the Dragon Balls would go to the third and the eighth person who made a comment here (me excluded, of course).

The numbers were 3 and 10 so the winners are: Jenn-Cha and Erin. I’ll try to PM you and if I cannot get through, then please PM me your addresses for your Dragon Balls!

I sent a PM to Erin. I cannot get through to Jenn-Cha. I think that the PM system has something to do with who you are following or by whom you are being followed. And the sentence above indicates upon what shaky ground my “who” and my “whom” stand.

Congrats Erin and Jenn! Looking forward to your tealogs for them.

Doulton ~ I think both should be whom. In case you actually really wanted to know, which I doubt. =) Not 100% sure though. Also, not meaning to be a grammar nazi.

Thank you, Chrine. I’m an English professor and grading papers has been the ruination of my grammar and spelling which were once quite good. I’ve picked up all the bad habits of students and have never managed to inculcate any good habits in them.

Your grammar and spelling can go down the toilet quickly if you spend much time on line, unless you’re vigilent about it. U no?

@Morgana LOL “u no?”.

I know that you grammar Nazi’s must cringe in reading my notes but I have to take this chance to explain myself. I was undiagnosed ADHD (inattentive type) so all through school I daydreamed and missed most of my english class by doing so. What I did learn has long been forgotten (also another bad thing about having ADHD). So my apologies ladies.

I’m not a grammar Nazi, I hope. I barely know how to spell. My Aunt Marjorie was adamant about proper grammar and spelling but never read a book. Even though she could conjugate “lie” and “lay” in the pluperfect progressive subjunctive moods, it was her only pleasure in life. Who wants that as a sole gift?

My bad ya’ll. =) I’m really not a grammar Nazi, I promise. I’m always undecided on whether to make posts about that kind of stuff online and I usually don’t. I figured on here and LibraryThing (someone usually beats me to it there) a lot of us are probably tend a bit towards geeky/nerdy (I’m probably putting my foot back into my mouth with this explanation) and if pointing out unknown grammar, they probably wouldn’t mind knowing if it wasn’t done in an arrogant way, which I hope I didn’t do. I know I probably wouldn’t mind it. I also didn’t know Doulton was an English professor either. Or I might be apologizing when I really don’t need to. But I’d rather do it than not. I wish to be on good terms with all my fellow Steepsterians at all times, and Doulton and Doulton’s cute cat. I’m also always using run-on sentences and sentence fragments on here on purpose and wouldn’t want people to start calling me out on it all the time and have to stop writing meandering tealogs. =) I need to end this rambling post. Drink tea, be happy!

Chrine, I really hope I didn’t give you the wrong impression. I absolutely adore people who are serious about things. I used my Aunt Marjorie as an example because grammar was her only “hobby horse”. I know that you have several. I think we should all be amused by our peccadilloes because for what do we live but to amuse each other and in turn be amused?

I can eviscerate a poem like a dog attacking a bone….it’s all part of the human comedy. And I did ask for correction with my whos and my whoms, for which I am grateful.

No Doulton, you didn’t. lol I certainly have my share of amusing quirks and serious (and sometimes nerdy) passions. I can’t imagine never reading though! I don’t know what I’d do. I tend to read mostly literary fiction and classics. My aunt is a big poetry fan though and she sends me poems by email.
