Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!

tasting notes please, been hearing and talking to them, but really want to know how their tea is.

Though its unlikely I will get some here, across the pond so to speak.

I’ve added a review of their keenum. I got samples and ordered two tins of this. Aroma is Barbecued, herb infused, charred meat. It’s great tea!

Damn how do you find enough hours in the day to drink all that?

I wish I had time to drink it all.

Are you aging all the puerh? Also do you think you have more tea than you can drink in a lifetime? Eventually I want to have a cellar where I walk into it and think that I will never run out of tea.

I am certainly trying to age it. In the end we will see how things do in the NY humidity. High humidity in the summer, lower the rest of the year. My shou seems to do ok. I buy mostly shou becauase that is what I most like to drink. Sheng seems to be more susceptible to lower humidity.

I’m from NY too, and this is my first year paying attention to storage. I suppose that’s what happens when you discover puer. I was keeping track of the humidity and it wasnt getting over 30% so did A LOT of research and poking around and found a way to keep my tea at around 70% all the time. Cigar humidity beads. The kind that are programmed for a certain humidity percentage that both add, and remove water. A bunch of those, three rubbermaid 14 gallon (I think) heavy duty food grade tubs (raw, ripe and white teas) and it’s actually working. Of course now I’m thinking I should have gotten the 20 gallon size, but I like living at my house, and if it gets any worse, my wife is going to tell me to take me tea and get out!

Maybe easier to find new wife that likes tea a wise man once told me……old wife gets new house….

Oh she likes tea. I “ruined” her for the teas she used to think were good. She’ll only drink quality stuff now, but she doesnt get the collecting aspect of it. That’s going to take more time. :D

Yeah I was surprised how fast their shipping was. And dude, how the heck do you drink all that tea without getting so tea drunk you cant even type?

I do not get tea drunk. The only exception to this rule seems to be Yang Qing Hao puerh tea. Most teas just will never have that effect on me, certainly not a black tea.

Young sheng and white tea seems to get me tea drunk really quick, black can if drink alot of it. But yeah you had that order a few posts up that was like 30 cakes, lol… damn I wouldnt be able to walk..
