Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!
Just collected my latest order from White2Tea – 8 days from China to Southern Sweden – not too bad..!
I ordered a beeng of Daily Drinker sheng and one of Old Reliable shou, and they were kind enough to throw in a Smooch tea ball…!
@Kitan… Just wanted to say I’m jealous. I placed my first order (and it was a large one) from White2Tea and assume I’m waiting another month before they even ship out due to Chinese New Year. From all I have heard, it will be worth the wait. At least my order from Yunnan should arrive before the end of the week. Enjoy your tea!
I know what you mean – I was going to place another order but saw the warning about delays because of Chinese New Year, so I’ll wait for a bit.
I’ve got an order from Yunnan Sourcing en route too – it left China bound for Sweden on the 7th, so about another week and a bit to wait if the last order was typical…
I got my Aliexpress order I placed at the beginning of November. I was waiting anxiously for it. It’s a gaiwan but it arrived chipped. :-(
Bummer, sucks when that happens. Most AliExpress sellers are pretty good about resolving shipping issues. Hopefully they can resend or refund you.
Some teacups and a spectacularly fancy looking teapot to add to my teaware cupboard

(I still have yet more tea cups in the mail I have a problem, you guys. But they’re so PRETTY)
I collect the bone china tea cups too! Love yours, especially the dark red and blue at the top of the pictures. I usually just get mine from my local flea market on week-ends. However, I did once get a haul off an Ebay seller who lived close by and met him at a local donut shot to pick up.
I go around charity shops occasionally but there’s rarely anything pretty in them (although I did get a nice yellow set of 6, that I’m not trying to sell 4 of because I don’t need or have space for 6)
The place I live isn’t particularly big (pop. about 300K), but Chinese teaware regularly turns up in the charity shops , even though there isn’t a large Chinese community and Swedes tend to go on holiday to Thailand rather than China, ruling out souvenir purchases.
Off the top of my head I’ve scored for 5 gaiwans, 1 nice pot, 2 taller lidded mugs, and quite a few caddies. Bit of a mystery where it’s all coming from, but what the hey, cheap gear is cheap gear… :)
Must be a lot of tea drinkers in your area Kitan.
Flea markets are not quite like charity shops. People don’t donate. At my local Flea Market there is one stall just dishware alone. She typically has LOADS of tea cups and saucers at any time. Never any problem with variety but it’s the cost that holds me back at times.
More teacups

Got a package today from a dealer here in Sweden containing a 100g Haiwan 958 tuocha, and 70g of loose leaf 2012 Ba Da Sheng to help in bolstering the green side of the Pu-erh stash…
Last night I got my first order from Bitterleaf teas. 6 puerh samples of various kinds (some ripe, some young raw, some aged raw).
Today I got a lovely order from Liquid Proust. I bought their 2003 tieguanyin and promptly brewed and reviewed it. I intend to do the same with their cowboy blend tomorrow.
PS: I am super tea drunk right now.
I got my Rishi tea order: some shan lin xi oolong and lin’s ceramics pitcher. It’s the cutest thing ever!
