Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!
From teabox, samples of all of the first flushes! Tried the upper namring and it was lovely.
What a great tea week. Received my swaps from JK7ray and elena-z! Thank you, everything looks great!
My order from Zen Tea came in last night. Most of it is flavoured, but there is one Taiwanese black in there. However, I’m really looking forward to trying the Coconut Oolong – if it’s good, then I’ll keep on buying rather than going for Golden Moon Tea’s Coconut Pouchong.
I had a couple of parcels arrive yesterday: the humid-stored Xiaguan tuo from Crimson Lotus, and a box from Yunnan Sourcing with a bing of 2015 “Da Qing Gu Shu,” some Fujian black teas, and assorted 12-16 years old sheng samples. And a hunk of Liu An tea that smells like dirt.
I got a Yunnan Sourcing order which included a 2015 Hai Lang Hao cake pressed from 2012 maocha. I really want to just break into this cake, but I’m hesitating because I’ve heard you’re supposed to let these things air out after long shipment. Might just give it a try anyways and just accept that it might not be 100% yet.
Also included a puerh pick so I can stop using a flathead screwdriver lol.
Today I got a small order in the mail from Yunnan Sourcing. A raw puerh, a tian jian, a liu bao, and two cha hai.

Coasters! Specifically, a beautiful teapot mandala designed by Stephanie that I had printed onto wooden coasters. It came out gorgeous! I’m a little nervous to use them for the intended purpose now… They might end up being more decorative than practical.
